If I can give them up so can you - I found an Inhalator (rubbish name, good product) worked for me. My brother is on patches at the moment and seems to be doing OK - so they're to be recommended as well. We both had a relapse on Christmas Eve but, hey, it was Christmas and we were well wellied (not ever so proud of it btw). The first week is the worst, babe - once you get past that and you, your breath and your house (not to mention your clothes) smell better - you will notice that the fags are not as attractive any more.
And if you fall off the wagon - it's a temporary set back so just get back on again. Anyway, if you really have to, better ten cigs a month than ten a day. But best of all is no cigs a day and take it a day at a time (sorry if it sounds cliched - but it works for me)
