Has any one ever done something stupid that at the time seemed scary or whatever then find funny enough to laugh about later.
This morning after putting Ryan down for his morning nap I decide to check the mail as I usually do almost every morning. Because I stay at home I don't expect James, my boyfriend, to lock the door when he leaves for work. Anyhow like I said I do this every morning the door is never locked to this morning I don't think to check the door, grab keys or cell phone. I shut the door cause it kind of cool outside. I walk down the stairs to the mailbox and back. I get back upstairs and can't get the door to open. Okay this would be no big deal if my son was not on the other side of this locked door I could have sat outside and waited for James, my boyfriend, to get home since he has a key. Well my boyfriend works at Hawthorne Racecourse galloping horses in the morning. Hawthorne is an at least half an hour to an hour away from the house so even if I had my cell phone it was like he was going to be able to rush right home and unlock the door. So what do I do I panic. First child I worry about all the dangerous things that can happen to my son. So I broke a little window right above the door knob on the door with my fist reached my hand in turned the door knob and got back in the house. First thing I did was check on my son who I had evidently woke up when I broke the window. Then I had to clean up the mess of glass off the floor. Now I can't help but laugh because all of this could have been avoided if I'd of checked the door knob before going outside. Boy do I feel so stupid now.
