Has any one ever done something stupid that at the time seemed scary or whatever then find funny enough to laugh about later.

This morning after putting Ryan down for his morning nap I decide to check the mail as I usually do almost every morning. Because I stay at home I don't expect James, my boyfriend, to lock the door when he leaves for work. Anyhow like I said I do this every morning the door is never locked to this morning I don't think to check the door, grab keys or cell phone. I shut the door cause it kind of cool outside. I walk down the stairs to the mailbox and back. I get back upstairs and can't get the door to open. Okay this would be no big deal if my son was not on the other side of this locked door I could have sat outside and waited for James, my boyfriend, to get home since he has a key. Well my boyfriend works at Hawthorne Racecourse galloping horses in the morning. Hawthorne is an at least half an hour to an hour away from the house so even if I had my cell phone it was like he was going to be able to rush right home and unlock the door. So what do I do I panic. First child I worry about all the dangerous things that can happen to my son. So I broke a little window right above the door knob on the door with my fist reached my hand in turned the door knob and got back in the house. First thing I did was check on my son who I had evidently woke up when I broke the window. Then I had to clean up the mess of glass off the floor. Now I can't help but laugh because all of this could have been avoided if I'd of checked the door knob before going outside. Boy do I feel so stupid now.

that would be kind of scary!
I remember one time when I ws little I got stuck in a tree. I mean literally too. When I was climbing down my leg got stuck in a tree limb and my dad had to get a saw and cut off the branch.

When I was little we had some family friends who had a trampoline and we used to jump up and down on it trying to make our pants fall off.

I don't know why. When you think about it now, it's actually kinda dirty but back then it was a huge laugh. Of course, I think that's probably why our parents said we weren't allowed on the trampoline until we were older.

Two years ago... I climbed up a waterfall (not a HUGE one, but quite a respectable one still)... the climbing up was just fine, a little tough but ok... then I had to go back down... the water pushed me, I lost my balance and slid on my back halfway down the waterfall... ended up with some scratches in my back and on my legs... but man what a rush of adrenaline that was! Was just sooo great! hehe... even though the two ppl who were with me at the time freaked out and thought I was dead for a sec... hehe...
on top of this, it was at camp, we were counsellors but we weren't allowed to do sth like that... so it had an illegal touch in it all that made it even more peRfect! :silly:

Two things that happened to be, both during exam times at school.

When we have our final exams, we are in the hall with rows of desks. Once, i finished my exam early, so i picked up my paper and walked towards the front to hand it in. I walked past this girl, and she smiled at me, so i smiled back and i wasnt looking where i was going, and my foot got caught on one of the chair legs and i started falling, so i tried to grab out at something, and i grab a table and bought it down with me. Pretty embarrassing.

Another time, i was in an exam, we had those tables that the legs can be folded up. Well i was doing my exam and it somehow one side just collapsed on my knees. I hobbled out of the room to see the school nurse.

When I was in the second grade I tried to lean over from my desk and pick something up and ended up falling over (with the desk). It hurt. And when I fell I farted. Loud.

So double the embarrassment.

That would be embarrassing!
Okay, this literally is scary, but I found it funny, my friend doesn't...
Two days ago, I was at my best friends house after school, there was just me,her and her dog Gizmo in the house. We were on the laptop, and we were looking at Buffy stuff on youtube, then we turned around to get gizmo and he was gone...the door out of the living room was shut tight and he couldn't of opened it, besides it's a really noisy door, so we would of heard it. We heard a noise upstairs, so we went up there, and Gizmo was on the bed...
Steph found it terrifying, I did at the time, but now I think it's funny.

My mum used to have this cafe type shop that I helped her out with while I was at uni and to go to the toilet you had to go past the back door of the kitchen and down a narrow hallway. During business hours we'd leave the light in the toilet on because otherwise you couldn't see where the door back to the kitchen was. One night mum had gone to turn the light off for the night and I could hear her coming back so I thought I'd scare her. I stood just outside the door and as she opened it I screamed.....and so did she while also punching me in the face.

Note to self....do not scare my mother....:lmao:
