Stupid questions you never dared to ask before

Well Drusilla did have the ability of hypnosis as in when Giles was being tortured and she used the thrall thing to get Kendra.
As for vampires not bleeding, how do they sire another vampire?

When the First visited Dawn in the house and the room was virtually demolished, how come Dawn only had a few scratches?

I forgot about Drusilla. Well, there are exceptions, but my point was that most vamps don't posses those powers.

No, vampires bleed in the Buffyverse. I didn't say they didn't...did I? I have been online for too long today...

LOL Who knows about Dawn. She has some sort of shield.

Rather than bother with a quote, and in doing so possibly embarrass some-one, I'll put my observations to others posts or comments.
I have two:

I was thinking about vampires in a scientific way, and to me it seems like their cells aren't created or destroyed. So... How does their hair grow? How would they heal so fast? And why would they even need a mirror?

Also...
How the hell do vampires get hard?

lol very funny questions. I think its partly due to them being somewhat magical and having a demon inside of them that allows their hair to grow and other regions to grow and function somewhat properly. I mean just think about female vamps, they must be dusty if you get what I mean. But the demon allows their bodies to function somewhat normally so they can still fit in with society.

On the subject of vampires, are there like an unlimited amount of "demons" lying around to possess an undead human? Or are new "demons" created when someone is sired?

And why do some vampires lack personality? We have seen some vampires act very vicious and unhumanly while others act like regular people.

Also why was Sunnydale High School virtually open 24/7? It seemed as if they come and go as they please at any time of day, the school was rarely locked up.

Even more strangely, if you look closely you see that when the big damage starts, she hurts her lip or something - her mouth and teeth go all bloody... but then when "Joyce" appears, the blood is gone. Miraculous powers of healing and cleaning!

Another one, of course, is: How do vampires know when to rise? Most seem to "wait" until after their burial, but Theresa in "Phases" rose while lying in state, and that CoW flunkie Kralik sires rose while Kralik was still licking his fingers clean!
(Ah well... that's probably one psychic power common to all vamps... they know the episode's script!)

Seeing a vampire rise in the midday sun, that could have been worth a few jokes.
I always kind of wondered why pre-existing vampires didn't try to gang up on Buffy more in the graveyards to keep her from dwindling their population!

Yeah, agreed. I think Anya asked the same question.

Or better yet, why they didn't just keep the bodies of the people they'd turned and bury them in private and wait for them to rise...why let them go through the funeral rites and BS if ya don't have to?

As it's been said, Dru was the only vamp who we know had a special preference for this. As for vamps being left in the graveyard. I'd say that the act of siring is pleasurable for the vamp which would explain baby vamps being left to be staked without a watchful sire as a result of a 'one bite stand'.

Here's one i was thinking about a few days ago: Stereotypical vampire mythology says vamps sleep all day and only come alive at night. We've seen Angel and Spike up and about during the day, and during the night. We've also seen both of them sleep, so when do they find time? do they only have to sleep every few days? don't need sleep but just do it when they feel like it or what? 😵

I don't find this any more weird than Buffy and the scoobies spending all day at school and spending all night fighting vamps and or researching.

I have a silly question about Faith:

How did she manage to pay for that crappy motel room at the beginning of season 3 before she became aligned with The Mayor? It was obvious she barely had any money on her as she found it a struggle to pay in the first episode she appeared in.

Another one is where did she get all the different clothes from in season 7? She had at least 5 or 6 different ones and this is coming from a slayer who's A on the run and B just got out of prison with only the clothes Wesley gave her.

^ I always just assumed that Faith stole the clothes. I mean, most of our Scoobies steal in times of necessity and, besides, Faith did hold to the "want - take - have" school of slayer philosophy. I think her redemption journey was more about not killing people than not stealing clothes, although I do hope she did it in less violent ways toward the end of the show than in the beginning.

As far as stealing goes, though, here's a question:

Why did the military never come after Buffy and the Scoobies for stealing a rocket launcher and opening fire in a crowded mall? I mean, surely that wouldn't have been too hard to trace. Oooh... rocket launcher is missing from our inventory. Oooh... some girl just blew a giant blue guy to smithereens at the mall. Oooh... we've got loads of witnesses. What the heck? The cops catch up to Buffy and Faith for that assistant guy in the alley, but nobody bothers to investigate this?

Agreed about Faith stealing the clothes.

LOL, I actually never thought about that rocket launcher thing!

Better yet, how do you casually enter a shopping mall with a rocket launcher?
A question about Drusilla's killing style, she cut Kendra's neck with her fingernail.
I have my thoughts as to why. What are yours?

I always thought that was quite odd. I never really thought about it, though. You would have thought she would have wanted to drink from her for strengh..hmm.

By cutting the vein, she could drink her, but licking increases the fear factor. Taste and smell?, suddenly she doesn't seem that crazy, huh
One of the things I always thought was funny is how Buffy would just walk out of her house with giant swords or weapons...would no one find it strange a little blonde girl was walking down the street wielding a giant axe or sword?

I just saw it as the ultimate insult. Dru was saying that Kendra wasn't even worth the implicit respect that's there in the draining of the blood of a Slayer. Spike was all about the instant gratification, whereas she was willing to forgo the strength she would have regained to show how far above a mere slayer she was.

Or she was afraid if she drained her she might pick up some of that awful fake accent.

"Ee'm Droosilla, the creezy vohmpeer." We REALLY dodged a bullet there.

Thats so true, why was she never stopped or frowned upon by the neighbours? Maybe they reported it to the police but as we've been told the police are pretty slow and dumb in Sunnydale lol.

What happened to the hole in the main road of Sunnydale that the energy that came out from the portal that Dawn's blood opened in The Gift made?

Of couse they could have fix it, but still. It was the main street where cars were driving through, and all of a sudden - hole!

I think the thing is, they don't have to breathe, but they can breathe. They can inhale and exhale, there is air.

But if they can inhale and exhale (which I agree, they can, as is evidenced by.. oh, I don't know, every episode that has a vamp in it?), why couldn't Angel give Buffy CPR? Yeah, he doesn't HAVE to breathe, but he DOES and CAN. It isn't as though the breathe going into one's mouth when receiving CPR has to have particular qualities to it (like oxygen content), or else "bagging" an unconscious person would have no effect either.

I've always wondered about the killing of slayers. Spike drank from the first slayer he killed in China, but only for about .02 seconds, so there's no way he drained her. I suppose he and Dru had a bit of sex play with her (her blood, anyhow) in the interim between Dru finding him and them rejoining with Angel and Darla. But he never drank from Nicki Wood, just snapped her neck. Um, hello, tasty powerful slayer blood there?? Why just leave it?

Come to think of it, the Master didn't drink much from Buffy, either. Plot, right, I get it, but still-- you'd think he'd have drained every drop. And of course the whole Dru/Kendra death. Why would a vamp just waste blood like that?

This is really a production quandry, but why oh WHY must every metal weapon they ever touch make that twanging sheathy noise? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Particularly when Willow picks up the scythe in (I forget which ep), she picks it up off the bed and it makes a noise like it was dramatically unsheathed?? It was on a comforter, for pete's sake??!!!

In a town crawling with vampires, werewolves, and every other sort of demon and beastie imaginabl, you think ANYBODY'S gonna deny Buffy her 2nd Ammendment rights? A better question might be: why don't more people habitually go armed to the teeth?

That may be a conceivable explanation if the majority of the residents were willing to acknowledge their town was crawling with otherwordly creatures. And do Second Ammendment rights really cover battle axes? :erm2:
