OKay, I just have to say I'm completely devastated with how it ended. This was the exact thing I didn't want to happen. Now I'm so nervous for season 7. Anyway, this vid cheered me up a bit. It's funny.

I actually saw this coming as soon as I realized Cas was after Purgatory. I'm not sure if this means that Cas is actually God, and Chuck is now non-existent, or he's just proclaiming himself as God and next season will involve Sam and Dean getting Chuck back where he belongs. I think I like that second option better, as I ADORE Chuck and I would love to see him back.

However, if it's the former, then I imagine, as we saw in the final minutes, that the power will go to Cas's head and he'll go on some sort of mission to get everyone in the world to bow down to him, and smiting everyone who doesn't, and it'll be up to the boys to get him back on track.

I'm glad Crowley is still alive. I LOVE Mark Sheppard, the guy's hilarious, and I'd love to see him back next year making the boys's lives hell again, lol.

I loved Sam's part in this finale, and I actually like the fact that Sam and Dean spent most of the episode apart. I really loved Sam's journey and how he accepted that, to be the person he was, he had to accept everything he went through, and he fought to get his memories back, even the ones from the cage, because he didn't want to leave Dean alone in the world. It was really nice to see Sam trying to desperately to get back to Dean, like he was finally making up for walking away from him in S4. I really liked that, because at the end of the day, that's always what this show is going to be about, Sam and Dean standing side by side. Or hand in hand if you believe Jared and Jensen, lol.

And speaking of Dean, how much did he kill me in ep #21?

I've never made a secret of the fact that I don't like Lisa very much. I don't know why, and I just don't think she fits with Dean very well. But, OH MY GOD, that scene in the hospital just broke my heart. When Ben said 'Who are you?' I just burst into tears. Dean loves Lisa, that much is obvious, whether I like her or not, and for him to give her up like that just makes me so sad. At the convention last week, Cindy Sampson was talking around that scene where Lisa gets possessed, trying not to give away any spoilers, but the way she was talking, I think I just assumed that Lisa would die. But this was so, so much worse.

I don't know if I want to see Lisa back next season, this was Dean's way of giving them the normal life that he could never provide, and for them to come back and ruin all of that, I don't think I'd be very happy.

If Cas is going to be the bad guy next season, I think it'll be a very different show - just like it's a very different show since he came into it. I did read that Misha isn't going to be a series regular next year, which I'm actually happy about, as much as I love Misha. It upset me at the time that he was made a regular over Bobby, who has been there since S1, and I'd like to see him as a regular before anyone else gets brought in.

I'm very glad Crowley survived the finale, too. I know he's an evil demon, but I just can't help loving him. 😀

Personally, I don't think Chuck was God. I was under the impression that he was just a prophet and when his job was done, was taken to heaven or something.

I have to leave for school now, but I'll be back later to discuss more.

Also, I'm not a big Lisa fan, either. 😀

Can't say I liked or disliked it. It was okay, and a nice cliffhanger for next season. I expected more to happen, though. Was left a little bit hanging. I'm glad like you two that Crowley survived. He's one of the few recurring characters I appreciate.

As for Sam... Really? That's all it took and now he's back to normal? I hope this whole thing will have a few side effects on him in next season.

I also think Chuck was God, but somehow I hope it isn't and that they never actually *show* God. If there's one thing that I dislike about SPN it's that they don't leave much to the imagination when it comes to that.

I used to be very indifferent to Bobby, but he's growing on me now. 🙂 I hope they don't kill him.

All in all, the season was okay'ish... 7/10 for me at best. They need to come back stronger in next one. Less stand alone eps, please!

Also would it be too much to ask for an interesting female character who'd actually stay alive? This series has been seriously lacking on that(from my perspective).

Right. I agree with an interesting female character who would actually stay alive. That would be great

That's what I thought, too.

Seriously! Yes, please! I know it's supposed to be about the brothers and such, but I adored Ellen and Jo, and there was much cursing of Kripke's name in this household when they were killed.

Oh I was going to start a thread about this..Beat me to it!

Definitely agree with less stand alone eps. For me, there just seemed to be in no flow in the season.

And yesss with the new character. As much as I love Dean and Sam alone, I just think that they could pick up at least one character that will not die off the next episode. I would settle with a guy, but a girl would be a lot better since the girls always..just die. I like how you put, "interesting" in bold. I am guessing that means not another boring Lisa.

As for the finale..I think it was okay. It did not amaze me but I gotta say the ending took me by surprise..I was honestly a bit speechless with Cas' attitude towards the boys. Like Lyri said I did love the scene in the hospital..it was so sad 🙁 I don't like Lisa (who does?) but Dean was so broken and whenever Dean sheds a tear you know it is serious! Oh and when Sam stabbed Cas 😱 I thought he would die so I felt bad for Cas but then he didn't so I got scared for Sam. I really adore Cas, so even if he's evil I'm still kinda on his side (Shhh don't tell the boys on me!!) I could ramble on some more but I have a lot of homework to do and it's 6:30 PM and I might wanna play Xbox later 😀

I thought it was lame, and with Grimm coming on in the fall with Fringe already in competition, they had better step up their writing.

All I could think at the end with Cas was "wow, how Willow." I see so many things as imitations of Buffy.

i love Bobby and Crowley on the show, and i do miss Ellen and Jo. I really wish they'd take it back to the feeling of the early seasons, but that's apparently not the road the writers will be going down. I've tried to stay loyal to the show since it started, but I might just watch re runs on line and watch Fringe or Grimm when they are on tv instead.

Me too. I love Cas and always will. I just hope Sam and Dean don't immediately decide that killing him is the only option. If Cas has to die 🙁, I want his death to be worthy and noble and whatnot. I don't want him to die evil and hated. My expectation for the finale was that Cas would (a) sacrifice his angelness for the boys and become human or (b) sacrifice his life for the boys. Yes, I knew turning evil was an option, but I thought it the least likely one. Especially due to his tremendous internal struggle shown in 6.20.

Did anyone think Sam's storyline of being inside his head was a little rushed? I thought the whole episode would be dedicated pretty much solely to Sam. Oh well. We'll probably get more insight into his time in hell next season.

True, but I doubt that they're going to bother trying to redeem him. 🙁

And Balthazar died! 🙁 Can't say I was surprised, but still...And Cas was the one to kill him! 🙁

Ok, so I've seen about 3/4 of Season One and every episode is Ghost, Mirror Ghost, Ghost, Highway Ghost, Ghost, Amy Acker, Ghost, Lake Ghost and Ghost. Do the other Seasons diversify their Monsters?. Does it get better?. I haven't read the above posts, just in case.

No no no.. he is far from normal. Didn't you see at the car before he went into the building the cutscene of his 'soul' burning in hell. And then in the building he was wincing and bending over (albeit slightly) in pain. That's not by a long shot.

Good, don't read any of the posts..major spoilers up there!!

I know in the first season there is a lot of just plain hunting which you will most likely come to miss when you get into the later seasons. Because it does get more intense..believe me. Just keep watching, once you get by the basics then you are going for the more heavy stuff which starts around S2(for me) and it just keeps getting crazier..especially with S4. So just enjoy it when it is justs the brothers hunting all the time because they get larger priorities later. So lucky..starting from the beginning!! Enjoy 🙂

At Asylum 6 last weekend, during the panel with Richard Speight Jr (Gabriel/The Trickster) and Mark Sheppard (Crowely) a woman asked them who they would like to see as God, if God were ever to appear. Both Mark and Richard said 'We have seen God. Chuck is God'. So, if the cast believe, then I'm not going to argue. I already thought it was God after the end of S5, but this just helped ease my mind.

No, Sam is FAR from normal. He might be whole again and have all his parts, but he still has to deal with what he remembers from the cage, and I wouldn't be surprised if we find out that he went through something like Dean did during his time in hell, when he opted to be the torturer instead of the tortured. We have to remember that Michael and Lucifer are still down there and were with Sam during the whole thing, so I'm wondering what they could have down to each other with Sam stuck in the middle.

When Sam bent over in pain next to the Impala it reminded me of Sam in S1, when he started having visions. The pain he felt was almost the same as what he felt back then. I just thought that was interesting.

Do you not think that Sam and Cas are linked? They potentially could be two sides of the same coin. I just hope it's not a repeat of the Dean thing but it feels like it could be.

I'm not sure about the linked thing, but maybe Sam has found some sort of left over Angel juice? Despite what we all want to believe, Lucifer WAS/IS an Angel, and he was in Sam's body for a long time, so maybe Sam's been left with some interesting powers. Angel's can sense each other, right? That could be interesting.

Sam, Lucifer and Michael were locked in the cage, so it's not like Sam had access to the other people in hell, so I don't think he could have done anything like Dean did, he didn't have the opportunity for that. But Michael and Lucifer were with him, as was Adam, can't forget about him, so it's possible that he saw some stuff that no one should ever see.

Plus, Sam is a different character to Dean. He learned his lesson from following Ruby, so I don't think he would ever cave like Dean did. As much as Kean will kill me for saying this, Sam is a stronger person than Dean.

That's what I mean; the original Lucifer vs the new Lucifer. Not just that, you dont know what was done to him in the pit. They could have seen this coming and implanted him with repressed powers or what not.

No, what I meant was I don't want to spend half of the season with Sam dealing with his 'inner demons' the same way again. I would rather a knock-down, balls to the wall, brawl. It's really screaming for that.

I don't think that'll happen. Like I said, Sam's different. Dean kept all that to himself because he didn't want to worry Sam. He's the big brother, he's supposed to take care of Sam, but Sam doesn't have that. He's always dealt with everything that's been thrown at him head on, apart from his addiction, because to him, that wasn't an addiction. At least, he didn't see it that way at the time.

I don't know if we'll see a fight, after all, Lucifer's still in the cage, and the only thing Sam has to fight against is himself. He has to deal with what he did without a soul, and he's the only one who can help him with that.

Oh ok. I just watched a vid where Rob Benedict kinda confirmed Chuck was God, too. If so, though, I'm skeptical as to whether he was God the whole time or just in that last episode, because I don't think God would be into alcoholism or call girls.

Also, if he was God, Dean's necklace/amulet would have glowed in his presence.

---------- Post added at 05:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:55 PM ----------

I think they'll deal more with Sam's memories from hell next season, but I don't think they'll bring Lucifer and Michael back into it. To me, it seems like they're trying to get away from the angels and heaven storyline. Kill Cas (which is likely imo 🙁) and all the angels are gone. They can then go back to focusing on Sam and Dean's relationship as they hunt random monsters. Lots of fans are wanting that, but I can't see how, after introducing such things as angels and the Apocalypse which expanded the scope of the show, they can return to season 1's style.

I think that was the whole point, though. If Chuck was God, then he was trying to stay under the radar, and what better way to do that than to appear as a drunken, hooker-using idiot? I still maintain he was God all along, because he knew everything Sam and Dean were going to do before they did it. A prophet would know some things, but not everything. I mean, Dean at one point called Chuck to ask him what was going to happen next.

I'm not saying that's fact, just what I think.

Also, if he was God, Dean's necklace/amulet would have glowed in his presence.

Again, if he's God, surely he would have the power to stop the amulet from glowing? He would know what it was, sense it, and therefore be able to stop it.

Did anyone else HATE the last two episodes? Pretty much everything I didn't want to happen, happened.

No no no no... tsk tsk.. Lyri.. shame. You disappoint me to the point of weeping. He didnt KNOW what they were going to do.. he WROTE them doing it. That is (supernatural) god. He made their reality. He was god.
