Alright, so recently I've been thinking about the WA/ "Miss Kean" Bangel deal thingy... And it sounds like fun! I dunno, maybe I'm crazy (I'm half hoping Becky will be able to talk me out of this, lol), but I just LOVE a challenge, and this certainly seems like one.

Besides, getting to know the enemy will really help me to understand and appreciate Bangel more. (I hope... 😀)

So, with no further ado, I pronounce myself a Bangel for one. Whole. Month. 😀

That being said, I've also made some rules for myself: There's a slight chance (cough99.999999999999%cough) that I simply won't be able to handle the major pro-Bangel anti-Spuffiness that I will soon be enveloped in, and I may end up retreating to the side of Spuffy before the month is up. If this happens, then I give y'all the right to make me say "I am a die- hard Bangeler. Buffy and Angel forever! Plus, Spike is unattractive with stupid hair, he can go be with Andrew." 😀 That way, I won't be tempted to abandon my challenge.

So, goodbye Spuffies! I will sincerely miss you, but believe me, this is all for the better. *Wipes away tears*

Well, I think that ALL Bangel moments are incredibly important and amazing. 😀

Sadness wise, either the Prom or IWRY. 🙁

I didn't like that Buffy made Angel leave at the end of Chosen. :mad39: Oh well, she was only trying to keep him safe after all.

I think that the most terrible award would go to when Angelus, pretending to be Angel of course totally crushed Buffy's feelings in Innocence by pretending he didn't enjoy their time together. :mad39: As if!

I think that this thread illustrates something perfectly. Spuffies are so confident of and committed to their ship of choice that even a month in "the enemy camp" can't shake their resolve. Sadly, apparently the Bangels don't have that degree of confidence or strength of resolve. Just one more reason why the Adopt-A-Bangel program is so desperately needed here.

I have confidence in you, Wishing Oceans. I have no doubt that you will return to the fold stronger than ever, and with an insight into the plight and hopelessness that is the Bangel way of life.

Do your worst, Bangel Beast. In the end, Spuffy will emerge victorious.

And if any Bangels think that they have what it takes to step up to the plate, the Spuffies will, I'm sure, welcome you with open arms. Of course, after a month in the light and happiness of Spuffy, you might never want to return to the darkness and despair of Bangel.

...I'm kinda scared, though. No Spuffy for a month? No fan fiction, no meta...

Hopefully this endeavor will increase at least my understanding of the allure of Bangel and possibly my appreciation of the coupling. If anything, only for the sake of being able to understand my fellow Bangel-loving friends. 🙂
