Who else here hates kennedy I KNOW I DO!!!!

Tara is sooooooooooo much better that kennedy in every perspective i liked tara with willow not kennedy i liked tara or oz for willow thats IT

between kennedy and tara i say TARA HANDS DOWN.

Kennedy = BITCA Willow + Tara = Love

No i really dont think sitting around doing that is very healthy but kennedy i mean they could have picked a nicer type or character for willow to be with after tara

Why what was wrong with the character that was sexy, sassy and confident. Someone who knows that they have power and want to use that power for good. Someone that had no problem going into battle when she was not an active slayer, therefor not as strong.

Or the fact that she allowed Willow to see a different side to love, let Willow got over Tara, so she did not spend the rest of her life thinking about what could have been. Someone who Willow found the trust in, to help ground her and allow her to experience pure power.

I don't get it what was wrong with her?

she was just so possesive and a brat... i get she was a strong potential but still she really pushed willow into a realationship it was only a while since tara died and willow was still grieving as we saw in "the killer in me" she never said to willow ill wait for u to be ready or anything like that she just sort of plunged willow into the realationship. plus they didnt really have chemistry u didn't see a true cute puppy love between them. not like with tara or oz. plus alot of the charcters on the show are strong in their willpower not cuz they have super strength u can take xander for example...and another side of love liek i said their was no real connection between them it was just really annoying to see kennedy giving off her little come ons.

I'm a Willow and Oz shipper, but i loved Willow and tara together more then willow and kennedy i really dont like kennedy at all.... not just for willow for anyone.. i hated her.

Tara is better than Kennedy, in many ways.

- For Willow
- With Magic
- As a scooby
- Personality!

she was just so possesive and a brat... i get she was a strong potential but still she really pushed willow into a realationship
That I think is one of the most insulting things people say, and it is an insult to Willow! Willow is not a weak or cowardly person, she made the decision to enter into a relationship with Kennedy, It takes two to have a relationship. And Willow knew what she was getting into!

it was only a while since tara died and willow was still grieving as we saw in "the killer in me" she never said to willow ill wait for u to be ready or anything like that she just sort of plunged willow into the realationship.
Kennedy did not plunge Willow into the relationship, for the same reason I have said above! And Kennedy didn't have a clue about all the stuff with Tara and what happened to Willow after, so she courted her. And Willow responded, the in The Killer in Me We see how Willow was not over Tara. Kennedy is shown what Tara meant to Willow, and we saw Willow move past it!

plus they didnt really have chemistry u didn't see a true cute puppy love between them. not like with tara or oz.
Just because it wasn't a puppy love does not make it love, there are many types of love, puppy love is not the only one.

plus alot of the charcters on the show are strong in their willpower not cuz they have super strength u can take xander for example...and another side of love liek i said their was no real connection between them it was just really annoying to see kennedy giving off her little come ons.
So she should have fancied Willow from afar? Kennedy is not afraid to go after what she wants, and Willow responded!

Tara is better than Kennedy, in many ways.

- For Willow
- With Magic
- As a scooby
- Personality!
-Kennedy helped Willow move on with her life
-It was during her time with Tara that Willow became addicted to Magick
-Kennedy was a scobie, she was in on the planning, Attacks and put in charge of the other potentials, so she was trusted!
-That's not really a fair point to hold against someone, She is who she is and she did not hide it. If Willow had gotten together with someone with the same personality as Tara, it would have been really creepy, like she was trying to recapture her relationship!

Well said and I agree with the last part - finding a replacement Tara would've been to wierd.
umm why would i insult willow do u see my screenname!!! i agree with tabulaxrasa. Willow is a very strong person, my idol in fact ( NERDS RULE) let me ask you have you ever lost someone dear to u? i have and grieving is really important. And it wasn't because of tara willow got addicted tara tried to help her contless of times it wasn't just kennedy. Tara did more. And kennedy wasn't a scooby are you kidding me. Are you watching the same show.

Scoobies = Buffy , Giles , Xander , Willow those are the real scoobies the couples are part of the gang but not a huge part like the principle four. Kennedy was not at all part of the connection she was a potential.

And love wise when you look at the 2 on screen that doesn't really look like love no chemestry at all!!!

it's true it takes 2 to tango and what did u say kennedy gets what she ants yeah idk i see that as being a BRAT she said it herself. She didn't have a good personality how can you not hold that against someone.

how can willow just move pat it again its called GRIEVING it takes a while

I didn't care much for Tara, she was just there to me. Kennedy, on the other hand, annoyed the utter crap out of me.

Or, the actress who played her. She just had NO CHARM. She did absolutely nothing that was even remotely endearing. Bitch/moan/bitch/moan.

Plus, not seeing the looks myself. I mean, I'd give her a go, but only if she was really, really nice...(well, the pierced tongue might be enough to swing it)

Hahahahaha
umm why would i insult willow do u see my screenname!!!
Well thats what you did, by saying Kennedy pushed Willow into a relationship you are turning Willow back into the pushover she was before, which she was not she was strong and confident and she was not pushed into anything with Kennedy she choose to enter the relationship!

i agree with tabulaxrasa. Willow is a very strong person, my idol in fact ( NERDS RULE) let me ask you have you ever lost someone dear to u? i have and grieving is really important.
That was a whole storyline in the show, Willow was moving to fast, and she then had a huge breakdown which allowed her to grieve, which allowed her to move on. Grieving is fine, but there is no point in looking back for to long you have to look forward to get on with your life without that person, and the writers knew that, having Willow become consumed by grief in the end of season 6 had to be balanced out with her moving on, and she did.

And it wasn't because of Tara willow got addicted Tara tried to help her countless of times it wasn't just Kennedy.
I know it wasn't because of Tara that she got addicted to Magick, but it was during that time.

Yes they are the principal four and by association their relationships get into the gang, and Kennedy did! She was at the meetings the other potentials were not at, because she was more then a potential ,she was part of the gang!

And love wise when you look at the 2 on screen that doesn't really look like love no chemistry at all!!!
No you see no chemistry! I do, like when Kennedy says the thing about hogging the covers and willows response, there is chemistry, There is also a very high sexual tension between them that was not there between Willow and Tara.

it's true it takes 2 to tango and what did u say Kennedy gets what she ants yeah idk i see that as being a BRAT she said it herself. She didn't have a good personality how can you not hold that against someone.
Again you think she has no personality, I did see a personality in Kennedy, she was a strong character who wanted to do good, she had a good personality!

how can willow just move pat it again its called GRIEVING it takes a while
Yes I agree that it was a little to fast, but still she has been grieving, don't forget that Willow spent 3 months grieving before the series started, the cool thing about this show is that their lives continue between each season, and Willow was grieving in that time and when she got back!

Ok this is like topic i should get in on, but have answered it often enough, so i'll just post my comments from the '10 reasons to hate Kennedy' thread

You only want 10 reasons......damn.....
Kennedy was obnoxious, rude, arrogant, pushy, presumptuous, uninteresting, plain, 1 dimensional, boring and uncharismatic thats 10 for you.
Now thats not the actors fault, Iyari Limon did the best with what she was given(PLUS....have you seen her...yummy).
Now as a Tara fan, people may assume i disliked her due to her Willow relationship, and truthfully, yeah, part of me hates that.
Tara, for me, was not just a love of Willow's life, like Oz, she was THE love. To see Willow move on so quickly after her death, just felt wrong. Now i'm not suggesting Willow stay celibate for life, but Kennedy was 'with' Will within 6 months. Now i know that people have different times to mourn the lost love and relationship, BUT for us viewers, the writers didnt give us enough time.
Hecks, in Conversations with Dead People its evident that Willow is in no way ready to move on, but just two episodes time, she has this Kennedy character flirting(again not an issue) but its only a couple of Epis ofter that, inwhich Willow and Kennedy kiss(The Willow Turns to Warren piece of Crap).

Now Kennedy as a character OUTSIDE Willows relationship still annoys the holy heck a doodle doo out of me.
She wasn't particularly liked by anyone, there was no visible screen time where she even attempted to ingratiate herself with the group...just Willows panties...and the second she saw the gang go one way, so did she...Kennedy was a sheep.....
When Buffy left, she thought she would rise in power among the collective. Why?
What possible reason could she believe her opinion mattered in this group. She wasnt even a Slayer. All she was, was the lover of the Slayer she just helped oust's best friend. Faith had every right to cut her down to size.

Dang i hate that Witch*

LadyLavinia while you do raise interesting points, some of which i will go along with, i do have some issue with some, and your subsequient rebuttal.

1. She wasn't another version of Tara

That was one of the reasons i was hoping to actually Like Kennedy when i knew of her. The idea of Willow experiencing the full range of the Gay world was interesting, i mean Tara, though IMHO transcends sexuality to just being perfect, isn't a true representation of Gay culture, but, and i partially loathe myself for saying it, falls in the Stereotype Lesbian bracket.
I was hoping Kennedy would be something edgy...What a waste of so much potential...hehehe...i made a funny....lol

She was a strong-willed person who did not hesitate to pursue what she had wanted.

I dont think so. I believe she was stuck up, from a rich back ground where she believed she had a right to everything she wanted. This isn't will, its the hypocrisy of wealth, as we know she came from a priviledged background. She shows no sign of being strong willed to me, just ready to go with the group.

Quote:
3. She was capable of great compassion.

In a limited way she did show compassionate skills, but i could never ever justify the use of great.

Quote:
4. She was flawed and very interesting

Flawed yes, as is every other character on the programme, but interesting, again nothing showing. She showed all she was interested in was sex and the slaying, nothing more....one of the downsides of so many potentials...no back story really.(writing issue not the character to be honest)

Quote:
5. She was a kick-ass Potential, who became a kickass Slayer

Well again, she rose in the ranks to a level of team leader, but we never really got enough time of her combative side to attrribute kickass to her, i mean, the only one i could claim kick ass would be Amanda, and thats because she showed her potential before any training.

6. The didn't become some bland, near perfect character that many fans had demanded that she should have been.

You are very correct, she became this bland uninteresting character that fans demanded dead in the finale, just so she would be apart of something interesting.

Quote:
7. She was a loving partner to Willow.

From her many faults, the character did seem to genuinely care for Willow, and had she been developed more, and it been even just 6 months later, i, and many others, would possibly have accepted her.

Quote:
8. She was not embarrassed about her sexual preference.

You are correct, and this was one of the things i was hoping that would be targeted.
But you make a comment later about Willow not being the same because in season 4 she was nervous about telling her friends, nee Family.
There is no point there. Willow did tell them relatively early on in her realisation. Its one of the hardest things in the world to tell someone something like that, no matter how close you are, for fear of rejection. Buffy even initially proved those fears accurate with her immediate reaction to Willow, she was nervous and edgy. From season 5 i would say that Willow was definately in the 'I'm Gay and Proud' catagory.

9. She was a charasmatic character who made a lot of friends.

Don't mean to be rude, but what show were you watching. Her relationship with Willow kinda made her stand out of the group. Not a Scoobie, but above the potentials. She didn't have screen time with people other then Willow really. No one said they disliked her granted, but no one seemed enamoured by her either...obviously except bad timing Willow.

Quote:
10. She questioned Buffy's authority and didn't become a mindless pushover.

Only because the group had. If she really wasnt a push over then why, when Faith told her to shut it, did she whinge behind closed doors. No she only had the courage of her convictions WHEN she had back up.

Sorry all....i ranted

Can I say neither? Tara is more docile, easy to come to an agreement, more positive than Kennedy, but that's why she is boring, but on the otherhand, Kennedy is not so entertainining either.

TARA RULES DUDE 😀 KENNADY EVIL ( WILLOW AND TARA) come on was kenndy really nessary?????? FAR too soon after tara.....come on she nearly destroyed the world for her??? xander could have continued to help willow with her magic addiction ( carry on from yellow crayon)

TARA RULES DUDE 😀 KENNADY EVIL ( WILLOW AND TARA)
Kennedy was not evil!

come on was Kennedy really necessary?????? FAR too soon after tara.....come on she nearly destroyed the world for her???
Yes Kennedy was necessary, Willow needed to go from a place of complete darkness back to love again, Kennedy helped her to love again.

xander could have continued to help willow with her magic addiction ( carry on from yellow crayon)
No he couldn't! She could not get the same love from him as she would from a girlfriend!

I prefer the relationship with Tara, but i always saw Kennedy as the rebound relationship. I never figured it was gonna last, but it would give Willow something to help her move on a little. Then, when someone that she actually had chemistry with came along she would be ready.

But there was Chemistry between them, it's shown through out the series.

hell no...... you could totaly feel the chemistary with willow and tara the first time they seen eachother??? kennady was annoying willow.... come on ..... forcing that date on her?? oh lickable? come on ( i agree they are...) but nope willow and tara= hot 😀

All of that stuff is chemistry! Just because you don't want to think of it as, it still is! Willow responded to this gestures!
