Tara & Willow Appreciation Thread: "I will always find you."

I was surprised to see that there wasn't a Tara/Willow appreciation thread already. They are such a beautiful couple, and one of my favorites. I know a lot of people love them too. So I thought I'd create a thread for them, so people can just come here and gush all they want about Tara/Willow.

Ok, I'll start off with some question to get the discussion going.

1. Why do you ship Tillow?
2. What was the first scene that made you fall in love with them? and why?
3. What is your favorite scene between them and why?
4. Is there any part of their story you would change?
5. Do you have a favorite Tillow episode?

My answers:

1. I ship them because to me they represent soulmates. Never before have two people so clearly been right for eachother from beginning to end. They were just always meant to be.
2. I loved them from the very beginning. Right from "How long have you been practicing" To the very end.
3. My Favorite scene, I have a couple. But I really love at the end of the gift when Tara says she got so lost, and Willow tell's her she'll always find her. Its so sweet and why I think Tara needs to be brought back, because Willow promised.
4. Obviously her death. I just threw that question in cause its an obvious one. But even if I didnt change her death, I would definitely bring her back.
5. Favorite episode for them is New Moon Rising I just love her picking Tara in the end and the last scene in the dorm room is so sweet.

now let's see...

1.I ship Tillow because there is nothing better than two chicks making out. i kid i kid. ok maybe not. But the real reason is because I truly believe they were soul mates

2.Well I already loved Willow. And as soon as I saw them Tara hold Willow's hand in "Hush" I knew it was made to be.

3.I have so many favorite scenes with the two of them in it. I can't pick just one. So I'll give you several lol

I loved it when they were broken up(not that part guys i hate it! so sad 🙁) and Anya gets mad at Willow for not using magick and then Tara defends her and says that she'd have to go through her first 😀 I also really loved when they made up and were in bed pretty much the entire time after wards. I absolutely loved Tara's monologue right before making up.​

4.I would change the fact that Willow went behind Tara's back and used magicks and I would also change the whole Tara dying thin...not fun!

5.As sad as this sounds, I would hav eto say my favorite episode is The Body. Tara is there to comfort Willow and make sure everything will be ok. it gives me fuzzy warm feelings all over. I also loved the Gift because after Willow took care of her and everything she promised she would always find Tara if she ever got lost again 🙂 aw...I want someone like that!!!!

I almost picked the one in bed at the beginning of Seeing Red its such a sweet scene I love it so much. And I LOVE when Tara sticks up for Willow against Anya 😀

Aww I love theirs scene in The Body/Forever they have some really beautiful ones. And That quote in the Gift is so beautiful. One of my favorite that's why I took the quote from there.

YAYYY!! finally i get my 15 post in something worthy XD ok lets beging.

1-Why? Because they are only the BEST couple in the entire btvs show? hahah not just that but also because they were the sweetest and more perfect for each other! Nothing could touch them much 🙂

2-Wow this is a hard one XD I guess when Willow says "I'm deff nothing special" and Tara replies "No you are" and then they both smile at each other lol it makes my inner fangirl SQUEE! out loud and smile with them ^///^ is just the cutest begining for them ever.

3-Another hard one -_- thank YOU! lol hmm I have a couple. Entrophy kiss 😀 DEFF! Bed scene on Seeing Red. The whole bagel speech on season 5 "Forever". The begining of Family with Tara talking about the animal shelter and when willow say she's essential. Their scenes on New Moon Rising & their school metting scene in Entrophy XD

4-hmmm only the fact of Tara dyinggggg a horrible and unfair death XD

5-Hmmmm probably Family or New Moon Rising, or Hush haha is just we don't have that many "Tillow" episodes XD

1. Willow and Tara were by far the best couple on the show. They were the only couple that didn't have any boundaries on their love and they basically raised Dawn. If Tara didn't die I know they would have grown old together. I dream for a relationship like this.
2. When they held hands and combined their powers in Hush. It showed an instant connection. 🙂
3. I love every Tillow Scene. They were perfect even when they were broken up <3
4. Tara would be alive!
5. I really like Tabula Rasa because even though they couldn't remember anything they still fell for each other. It shows how connected they are and how deeply they love each other.

Why do you ship Tillow?
- Because they're the most romantic ship in the whole verse. They're so sweet together. They bring the best out of each other, compliment each other. The most important thing, they're the most devoted couple.

What was the first scene that made you fall in love with them? and why?
- I guess it's around the flying rose scene. The light in Tara's room helped a lot. 😀

What is your favorite scene between them and why?
- The scene in New Moon Rising when Tara asks Willow "What makes you happy?" and Willow just cries and they hug.

Is there any part of their story you would change?
- Of course, the random cheap death scene that just wanted to shock the audiences. 🙁

Do you have a favorite Tillow episode?
- New Moon Rising. I think they officially started their relationship in this episode. Every scene is so touching. I love Oz, but I SO team Tara in this ep.

I ship them because they were such a good lesbian couple, and they had tons of magic in their relationship. Also, they loved eachother alot and they lasted for a long time.

I loved them in The Body, when Willow's crying and Tara kisses her, which was the first time we saw them kiss!


What is your favorite scene between them and why?
I love their scene in OMWF, when Tara is singing on the brigde to Willow.

Is there any part of their story you would change?
I don't know, I wasn't furious with Tara's death, but I was upset when she got killed.

I would go with OMWF or Bargaining Part 1 when they're taking care of Dawn together 🙂

Ha I kind of liked it too. It just proves how even if they had never met before and their memory was wiped, or even if they had a chance to start over new, they would end up feeling that connection no matter what.

love the scene when they are hiding and Tara is pretty much on top of Willow and they are withing kissing distance of each other when they are supposed to be quiet....I wanted them to kiss soooo bad!

I loved them in The Body, when Willow's crying and Tara kisses her, which was the first time we saw them kiss!

I remember as I watched before they switched networks. I used to get so furious when they didn't kiss and then Finally they do and I was so happy! Even though it was at a sad point in the series.

yes that's cute! But I also love when Willow goes down on Tara after Tara sings "Ican feel you inside" and looks down at her crotch. Yes I am pervy. So what?!

They made such great foster parents, but Tara I think played the motherly role better than Willow. I loved it when she used to make pancakes for Dawn 🙂

Well in light of recent posts and threads, about people not liking the Tillow relationship, I decided I wanted to keep this discussion going. After all, it has been dead for over a month now lol. So here are some questions for you all

1. What do you think stand out about Tillow versus all the other ships in the verse?
2. What song comes to mind when you see Tillow?
3. If Tara could be brought back somehow, how do you envision it would happen?
4. How do you think Willow would react towards Tara's return?

This is easy as pie for me 😀

1.The thing I think stand out about Tillow versus all the other ships is just how well they compliment each other and just how well they were able to help each other adapt to this new kind of relationship whilst still worrying about the rest of their social lives. To me, all the other ships in the verse kind of seemed to just jump right into it. At least with Willow and Tara, we were able to see this friendship blossom into this beautiful relationship, which we all know eventually would have happened.

2. Sadly, every time I think of Tillow, I think of that Michelle Branch song "Goodbye to You". It's so sad, but it fits the relationship so well, given the circumstances.

3.Man I have written so many stories about this, it's ridiculous! lol I mostly envision it as a magicks spell gone terrible wrong and Tara is brought back a bit evil, and is sent to go and destroy Buffy and the scoobies via Willow, but upon seeing Willow's face, she fails at her main mission and is reminded of all the beautiful moments she spent with her beloved Willow. And then she sees Kennedy and knocks the wind right out of her mwahahahaha :devil3:

4.I think Willow would just be in this state of shock and just not know what to do for a moments time, but then she will gaze into Tara's blue eyes, and know instantly, that that's where she is meant to be 🙂 ::heart::

I didn't know there was a Tillow thread, but, now that I do, I'm going to answer all the questions. 🙂

Why do you ship Tillow?
It's just magical. I like how their relationship grew from glances and words to something more.

What was the first scene that made you fall in love with them? and why?
Probably in Hush. They weren't a couple yet, but moving the soda machine together and the way Tara was looking at Willow, I knew something was going to happen.

What is your favorite scene between them and why?
The scene where Willow breaks down in The Body and Tara comforts her and they kiss. I just love Willow's speech and we see how important Tara is to her.

Is there any part of their story you would change?
When Tara and Willow got back together in Entropy I would liked to see more of their reconciliation talk, so, when Tara died we could've had a little more closure.

Do you have a favorite Tillow episode?
Who Am I? Because Tara says, "I'm yours," and there's *coughTillowsexcough*

What do you think stand out about Tillow versus all the other ships in the verse?
It's sensual, not sexual, especially in S4. I like all the metaphors for their relationship, like two different Tillow fans could watch the same scene and maybe get two interpretations, and it would still be awesome. And, how important they are to each other. Tara is Willow rock and it's obvious in S6 how Willow can't stay grounded without her.

What song comes to mind when you see Tillow?
This one's easy (I always think of ships in terms of songs). For their relationship in S4 I'd say Blondie's "Sunday Girl" because it's such a sweet pop song (about lesbians and it actually describes their relationship, then) and for their relationship as a whole Blondie's "(I'm Always Touched by Your) Presence, Dear."

If Tara could be brought back somehow, how do you envision it would happen?
I wouldn't want her to be raised from the dead, so PTB. They know Tillow is forever. 😉

How do you think Willow would react towards Tara's return?
Conflicted, but Kennedy would have to go.

- I think the love between them is so pure that it just feels so real. I look at them on screen and I think that's what soul mates look like. I've never seen two people so right for eachother before. They belong together and every scene between them just screams how right they are for eachother.

What song comes to mind when you see Tillow?
- Goodbye my Lover by James Blunt. I know that song is so sad but that song is so perfect for their relationship. It's beautiful and sweet and heartbreaking, just like they are.

If Tara could be brought back somehow, how do you envision it would happen?
- I've always loved the Wish Idea I heard that joss had. That Buffy would get one wish and use it to bring Tara back for Willow. Everytime I think about how that could have happened but didn't it makes me want to cry.

How do you think Willow would react towards Tara's return?
- I think at first she would be in shock but then once she realized it was really Tara she would be happier then ever and dump kennedy in a flash because Tara will always be in Willows heart and I know she will never get over her. If she could have Tara back she'd do anything in the world.

For real. It's kind of funny how Tara seems to need Willow so much in the beginning, but then influenced by Willow, Tara grown to be just as much as an important part of Willow. Willow needs her, more than she needs anyone else. They need each other.

1. Why do you ship Tillow?
Ok - I don't really "ship" Tillow. I accept them together & thought they made a great couple, but I totally shipped Woz. I was upset that Willow kinda "suddenly realized" she was gay. I still say Willow was bi-sexual. There was no indication of her being gay until she was gay. (Vamp Willow doesn't count.) It would have made so much more sense if Willow had some sort of crush or something on a girl during the hi-school years. Maybe a crush on Buffy - or Cordelia (heh! that'd have been hilarious!) or .... Amy, maybe? But there was nothing. It was all XanderXanderXander, and then OzOzOz... then BAM! "gay now". I still don't see how it happened! But I'm not upset that it happened. And Tillow was very sweet together.

2. What was the first scene that made you fall in love with them? and why?
My favorite Tillow scene was when Willow teary-eyed told Oz goodbye and then went to Tara's room with that candle... "It's extra flamey" 😀

3. What is your favorite scene between them and why?
The extra flamey scene... just loved it! (Also loved their singing scene in OMWF)

4. Is there any part of their story you would change?
Tara would have came back as a ghost to help guide Willow (after Dark Willow was stopped... I loved Dark Willow!!!!) & Willow would occasionally astroplane herself to be spiritual lovers with Tara - there NEVER would have been any of that Kennedy disaster!

5. Do you have a favorite Tillow episode?
I love the one where they get back together... but dagnabit... then Tara dies. 🙁 So I love that eppy, and I hate it as well.

1. Why do you ship Tillow?

I ship Tillow because they are two beautiful, amazing and intelligent women that deserve each other in their lives.

2. What was the first scene that made you fall in love with them? and why?

From the second that Tara tried to say something in that first wicca meeting and they shared a look of understanding and compassion for each other. I just felt like there was something there between them that was powerful.

3. What is your favorite scene between them and why?

I have a few favourites, but if I absolutely had to pick one scene it would be the scene in Hush, where in complete silence, with their voices taken away they shared something so powerful and managed to move the soda machine to block the door. So beautiful and touching.

4. Is there any part of their story you would change?

Two things.

I hated that they broke up in Season 6 due to Willow's misuse of magic.

I hated that they killed off Tara.

I thought they were both stupid storylines and just simply unnecessary. There is no reason why Joss could not have kept them as a strong, beautiful couple for the entire of the series. If the only way you can keep the story interesting is by making couples fight, break up, and kill someone off then you're not doing something right. Sorry, it's just the way I feel.

5. Do you have a favorite Tillow episode?

Part of what I love about Tillow is that I don't feel like their is just one episode that defines them, I loved that they consistently loved each other and supported each other. All the little looks they share, and wonderful things they do for each other are what makes me ship them.

Why do you ship Tillow?
I ship Tillow because they have a beautiful, mostly healthy relationship. They were perfect together, turning each other into better people. They are both amazing women with so much to give to the world and they are just so sweet and amazing together. Totally one of the healthier and sweeter couples in the Buffyverse.

What was the first scene that made you fall in love with them? and why?
Well, I was randomly watching episodes out of order before I started fully watching season 4 and I saw Who Are You?! I saw the scene where Tara says "I am you know, yours" and I fell in love with them instantly. It's such a touching moment.

What is your favorite scene between them and why?
I'm not sure if it's my favourite but I adore two scenes from Seeing Red. The first one with them in bed together and the one with them skipping out to help with research. So cute.

Is there any part of their story you would change?
Tara's death but other than that...no. I wouldn't change Tara leaving because then we wouldn't have the sweetness of after that.

Do you have a favorite Tillow episode?
No single episode stands out to me for them. I do think, for just Tara in general, Family is amazing.

I have a few favourites, but if I absolutely had to pick one scene it would be the scene in Hush, where in complete silence, with their voices taken away they shared something so powerful and managed to move the soda machine to block the door. So beautiful and touching.

Totally agree. That single scene was just so powerful. Tara just looks at Willow and instantly knows just how special and powerful Willow is. Then, when Tara reaches out and touches Willow's hand, and their fingers lock in place, you can see Willow's expression of understanding and passion because she knew at that very moment just how important Tara was going to be to her. Those few second, so many things happen, and even the silence makes it sooooo loud for us to hear just how important at that very moment they are towards each other.

Also, I think I have to agree that, every single time we see Willow and Tara together would have been a favorite episode instantly. As long as Tara isn't dying, or Willow and Tara aren't broken up, it's a great episode. I mean, even when they are broken up, when Tara defends Willow from Anya, I loved that scene to pieces!! Tara defending the woman she loves. Awwww!

1) I ship them because their romance was genuine in its portrayal, heartfelt, sweet, soft and glowing. They were soulmates and never once did I doubt that they were two halves of one whole. Their love was so strong that it came off the screen in warm waves. We watched them fall in love, and deeply in love at that. Simply beautiful. I'd go so far as to rate them now as one of the iconic love affairs of our time.

2) Hush, right at the very beginning with the moment Willow was sitting in the circle with the daughters of Gaia and Tara was sat on the floor, barely daring to glance at her quickly from beneath her fringe. She was like a little mouse, but something about her captivated me and I saw their connection made. When their next scene occured with them joining hands and becoming stronger than alone, it was written in the stars from there on in.

3) Okay, some of my absolute favourites are the standard "yours" scene and the "do what makes you h-h-happy" scene and half a dozen others, but I've mentioned those in a different thread, so here I'll choose one that's lesser known. Buffy Season 5, episode "Out of my mind." When Tara is reading palms. Willow gives her her hand and asks "What do you see?" I ADORE Tara's schoolgirlish happy grin full of love and devotion and endearginly embarrassed dipping eyes as she says "Willow hands."

4) Not her death, because in the Buffyverse dead never needs to mean dead. I wasn't too keen on the magic as a metaphor for drug addiction storyline, but that's an issue stemming from personal experience rather than any fault with the show itself.

5) xfivebyfive, can I pick two, please? Pretty please? I love so many of their episodes it's not fair to limit me to just one. If I had to simply take the bare minimum episodes of them with me to a desert island then it would probably be "New Moon Rising" because of Willow choosing Tara and Tara's selfless lack of pressure, and "Family" because Willow's angst is so raw and Tara's disbelieving happiness at her acceptance by the group is very, very moving.

Today I was on the bus. I was upset because my phone had broken, my iPod had broken, and the episodes I loaded in class to watch on the bus home didn't load properly. So I did what I always do in a situation like that... I pulled up itunes and watched OMWF. I've seen OMWF more times than I can count... but something was different this time. When I got to Under Your Spell, something clicked. I felt all of Tara's love for Willow and it was overwhelming. Tillow has always been my favorite Willow ship and my second favorite ship in the 'verse... but today, watching Under Your Spell, I got it. It was like when Anya was going over her vows in Hell's Bells and she said "I finally get love, Xander. I get it." That's exactly what it was... I finally got it. I got love. People so often say Bangel was the ship in the verse to speak closest to true undiluted love... but I disagree. Tillow is that ship. I someone doesn't think so, they're not watching. Towards the end, it's less so on Willow's end... but watching Under Your Spell today on the bus (and listening to it walking home about a billion more times), I felt Tara's love. It was a chilly day today, but I was warm. It's the most pure and beautiful thing I've ever felt. I still feel it's warmth. Dare I say it, Tillow is now tied with Spuffy... no longer second. The love is strong and beautiful. And no one can deny it's true love.
