Tara's Death

I hated that they killed Tara, but teh season finale was awesome and couldnt have been done if tehy hadnt killed her. tara was a great character, although i think they kind of ruined her memory by inrtoducing Kennedy as a love interest so soon. I loved Tara's character but i think killing her off really created a great finale.

I also have mixed feelings about this.

I wonder weather Willow could have reached that dark place if Tara was just in a coma or something. I think that her death was the only way to bring that out of Willow; nothing else would have been as convincing.

But I still feel like I was cheeted out of something by having Tara taken away (She's one of my favorite characters).

But in the end, I have to say that it was for the best. It was a really beautiful death scene (second only to Buffy's in The Gift), and it ensured that their (Willow and Tara's) relationship would stay pure and beautiful forever.

I never really liked Tara, so her death for me was nice in that way that we could see Dark Willow-I absolutely adore her!!!!

I thoght that it was essential to kill off Tara for the plot line. i really didnt like that she had to die though it was awful. but i really liked the season finale which coukdnt have been done if they hadntr have killed Tara so im kinda happy and kinda sad. 🙂 🙁

Her death was extremely sad. It was a huge shocker...I mean, I wasn't expecting that one after seing her and Willow back together. Though I miss her, I'm not unhappy with how it happened and affected the plot. It's just a sad event. ::crying::

I knew that she was gonna die, but when I actually saw the eppisdoe that she gets killed in, I broke. I was really shocked. The way they did that whole scene was extemely intense. It was so sad. I didn't particularly FEEL the connection that Willow and Tara had, but I really did SEE it. Does that make any sense?

I always feel it is sad when a character has to leave, but I do feel that the Buffy story unfolds just as it should. (Just as the the show's talented writers choose it to...)

I felt the connection between Tara and Willow, and I was sad to see her go. I read things written, that it was a cheap shot, that they killed tara for willow to go evil for two eps. Tara's Death had been planned long before it happened. They had planned for willow to go evil in five, they had planned to kill Tara, in five. So actually I think we got to hang on to Tara and see her longer than we were originally going to.

I have also read that Joss, was really fond of Amber Benson, and the character she made her own, in Tara. He said in and Interview of all the Deaths Characters had, Tara's was by far the hardest. It was incredibly hard for Amber too. Everything that happened on the show was planned up until seven to my knowlege. So I don't think Tara's Death was decided in haste.

however correct me if I'm wrong

Yup... everything is usually planned a couple years a head of time. Like Spike and Oz was going to be killed off. Why couldn't they spare Tara? Why people. Why? I was very sad when they killed her.

Tara's death was Horrible!!!!It was so shocking. I definately was expecting it so it made it even harder. Tara was one of the best characters on the show and killing her was terrible. Yes for Willow to go bad and almost destroy the world she needed some motive, and killing tara was the only way, but still it was so sad!

it was pretty sad,I cried too much,...~RIP Tara~

It was very sad. Tara was one of my favorite characters so it was hard to see her dying... ::crying2: And it was so typical from Joss that he put Amber in opening credits and then he killed Tara. That man has morbid sense of humour...

I don't get why he even put her in the credits if he was going to kill her off in that episode. Like fans didn't know it was going to be her that died from the gun shot and not Buffy 🙄

Maybe that was just his way of giving Taras' character the respect she deserved before she died. But... meh... Spike was in the credits and he died... somewhat...

She was always in the 'after credits' that went on during the episode. wasn't she?
