What do you think of teen pregnancy? How do you think it should be handled? What do you think about abortion? Etc Etc Etc.

A while ago some girl made a rumor that she was pregnant and I was the father, but that died down quick, thank God. I'm a proud God Father of three adorable babies. Their mother became pregnant when she was 15-years-old and found out she was having triplets and decided to keep the babies. They're so cute and I love spending time with them. The father doesn't like me hanging around with them to much, but he can bite me. One is named after me so in his face!!!! Although the babies are cute and I'm intellegent enough to handle them for a few hours, I'm no way ready to take care of another life at my age. I'm kinda 50/50 when it comes to teen pregnancy. If the baby was conceived in love and both parents intent to give the child the best life they possibly can, than I'm all right with it. I also think that is kinda screws up your life, no offense to anyone who's been a teen parent or is a teen parent. Teenagers, especially in the early teens have so much they haven't done yet, and having a child would stop them from that. They can't go out and party, travel, and do things that young people should do. But with that said, I'm totally 100% against abortion. There's always another way that you can take care of the pregnancy becides aborting the baby. I hate it when people drown babies in the bathtub or leave them out in the trash somewhere. I believe that if the parent doesn't want the baby, they can sign over custody to a family member who does or give the child up for adoption. I'm not really sure how I feel about a child conceived through rape. I know that the lady didn't choose to become pregnant, and that she became pregnant through a horrible act of violence, but that's not the babies fault. Urgh...I just don't know. What do yall think?

Oh yeah. I've been thinking about this because some girl in my grade (I'm a freshmen) found out she was pregnant a week ago. She had the baby aborted and now she's pregnant again! It was on my mind so I thought we could all discuss it.

Well i thought i was pregnant like a week or so ago and it turned out to be false but i aswell was going to keep the baby..I personally dont believe in abortion unless the girl was raped otherwise it should be her responsiblity seeing as she was willing to participate and take that risk... i also believe that the father of the baby should be around as well to take responsibility though alot of guys dont see that... No offence.. Its not the babies fault for being born its the parents fault for having the sex in the first place.... so ya thats my veiw on it all...

I'm 100 percent pro abortion. Anyone under 22 who gets pregnant should be forced to get an abortion.

First of all teen pregnancy is bad and abortion is one of your choices..If I ever got pregnant i the next let's say 6 years I'm pretty sure for 90% that I'd have an abortion...Having a child scares me..I'm definitely not ready for sth like this nor I I want it...In my opinion in some cases abortion is the best resolution, but it all depends on your upbringing, religion etc.

teen pregnancy is problably one of the worst things that could happen to a teen girl.. i've got a friend who's prenant about 4months..the boyfriend bailed out of responsabilities when he heard about it..(why do that jerks alwasy ask "how can i know i'm the father?!") ::rm::..gher father is barery talking to her, and only didn't kicked her out of the house because her motjher sisn't let him..so now she has her life "screwed" because a damm condom got had a hole!..she's 17 like me, and we know nothing about taking care of babies....at this age we don't know how to have this kind of responsibilities.. she didn't dis an abortion because she was too afraid off it, and she sorta of got an atachment to the baby's ideia..
if that was my situation i don't know if i would have done an abortion..tecnicly here it's still illegal, but there is always places to go..but i think tottaly pro abortion legalized..i mean, i just don't see a point to bring a baby in this world if you do not wanto or be able to take care and love him..and don't metion adoption, because im tired of seing kids abandon in an ofanage..i just thing it's better to make an abortion that have a a kid to have a missrable and unnhappy life..
kids yes, but only when i could, and have the time, responsability and love necessary to that.

In another forum we had a long long long thread about the topic, lol, here is a part of what I posted:

I'm not at all against abortion, but I'm not pro either.
It depends a lot about what ppl & what case I think.
For rape, incest & for girls under 16 who WANTS abortion, that's totally normal, since they didn't decide to to have sex or had sex being too young & can't be judge responsible for their acts.
As for the others... of course they knew what they risked when they had sex so, abortion shouldn't become like an habit or something. They shouldn't be permitted to do abortion, so that she would learn to be responsible but there is another prob, think to the child.
I mean, do you think it's better to forbid a mother, who is poor, homeless, jobless, drunkard, on drugs or such things to have a child, knowing that those children will be unhappy, that they would suffer a hell & prolly turn bad? Ok, some won't but even, we shouldn't let children born in a world when there is nothing to welcome them, to help them to grow, to take care of them. You wanna forbid abortion? Ok, change the whole world, make a safe world for children who will be born when their mother wanted abortion & THEN, & only THEN you could forbid abortion.
Meanwhile I'm sorry if I sound provocative, it's just my thoughts here & I still totally disapprove the girls & women who aren't cautious enough when they have sex.

I'm against abortion, but I believe that the woman should have the choice.

I'm not againts abortion because it depends on the situation (rape, accidental pregnancy) and what the woman feels.

I think it's a shame that so many teenagers get pregnant, but I think it's an even bigger shame how they are judged. I'm a babysitter for a little baby, and everytime I'm outside with him people are staring. They see a teenage girl with a baby, and they can't see beyond that. Even if it was my baby, people shouldn't judge like that. And it especially annoys me cos I know a girl who became pregnant at 17, and she's a great mother. I don't think she could have done it alone, her mother and stepdad have helped her out alot, but she is still a great mother, who loves her little daughter.
I'm not against abortion. I think that if someone feel they can't take care of they're child, abortion is better then adoption. There's more then enough children in the world who needs a home, if you can't give your own child a home, don't put it into the world. Of course, I don't think it's alright for someone to just think of abortion as birth control. And especially when a girl has been raped she shouldn't have to keep the child, cos even without wanting to, she might end up hating her own child, and be reminded of what happened to her everytime she sees the child. Neither the mother or the child should have to go through that.
If I got pregnant, I'd either keep the baby, or take an abortion. I would never put another child into the world if I couldn't take care of it myself.

I really can't answer that question, it changes from situation to situation... and I think it should be left to the people to decide what'd be best in their case. I don't mind abortion, so if they want it; sure. It's not like I like it either, but you know, it's their life and if they feel they couldn't take care of it, who am I to say they have to.

For me personally, I wouldn't want to become a father yet, or pretty much ever. But I think that if'd be totally up to me, I'd keep the baby... I should live with the consequences of screwing up. (No pun intended.)

I'm against abortion...if you have been raped,okay...but if not:your trouble,deal with it.
We're talking about a life here, not a doll or something, you can't just kill a baby because you're too affraid of dealing with the mess you made, everything has consequencies...and the poor baby isn't the guilty one

I believe that women should have the choice too. I'm not totally against abortion... but what if the baby was conceived through rape... I don't think I would want to bring a baby into the world knowing that the father did that to me. 🙁

On the other hand... if you are a teenager and are stupid enough to get yourself pregnant through a concentual accident then you should bare the consequences.... but only if the child is going to have a stable life. There's no use bringing a child into the world when you aren't financially secure and in a lasting relationship. (Some teenagers are.) But overall I don't agree with teenage pregnancies.

I don't think I would be able to have an abortion though... it is a very emotional thing to go through and I get attached to things very quickly. If I was to get pregnant by accident (to my boyfriend) I would probably keep the baby. As it wouldn't be the baby's fault. But Ideally I will be happily married and plan the birth of my children.

I still think that it's better to have an abortion then to be hating the baby and yourself for the whole 9 months...Adoption is a great solution, but not every tennager feels so attatched to being pregnant as to keep it inside her...I agree that abortion is emotional. I was sitting in a waiting room while one of my classmates was having it done. She's ok now, which just proves my point that it all depends from a girl...

This is pretty much exactly how I feel, but Magui, you left one thing out. Recently a friend of mine had a pregnancy scare. Now, her feelings about abortin are pretty close to mine, and normally, she would have kept the baby. Only problem was, that she had been in a bad accident and had been taking countless types of medications that a person shouldn't be anywhere near when they are pregnant. She was terrified. if she was pregnant, she might have to abort the child, because if not, it could be horribly sick thanks to all the meds she was on. Thankfully, she wasn't pregnant, but the point it, if the pregnant girl has been on drugs or taking extremely powerful medication during a time that she did not know she was pregnant, chances are abortion is probably a safer bet than bringing that baby into the world horribly sick...

Just my 2 cents 😉

I Have To Make A Really Rude Comment At Someone, But I Can't Because There's Rules Against It. Can't I Make A Mean Comment? Please Please Please?!

EDITED:

Whatever, I'll say it anyway. I don't really care right now. WatcherWes, I know what you said before you went back and edited your post. My friend didn't ruin her life by having kids and she's never been happier. Your rule that all people under 22 should have an abortion is as stupid and ignorant as you.

my 15 year old cousin was pregnant and had a baby with her now 19 year old boyfriend and thre pretty happy. But im scared of getting pregnant at my age!

I don't think that having a baby at a young age automatically means you'll be a horrible mother, or that your life is screwed. It's what you make of it. Accidents do happen, therefore I am very pro-choice. Yes, sex is a choice (except in the case of rape, of course), but people make mistakes in the heat of the moment. A baby is a life-long thing, and if someone doesn't believe they can support a baby in thier current situation, every opportunity should be given to them to handle a pregnancy. Even if that means abortion. It's harsh to put this huge responsibility on someone for a mistake, no matter how huge it is. I don't plan on having kids until I'm secure in life, but if something ever did happen and I became pregnant, I would like the choice of an abortion to be open to me. I know I couldn't handle having a baby at this time in my life. But, if having an abortion becomes a regular thing, then that person just needs to grow up and get a handle on their life. An abortion isn't a "do-over", it's a last resort.

I actually think that my mandatory abortion age should be raised to 30. We have enough problems with population control, and this would help with that.

That's interesting. What makes you think raising an abortion age would help with population control? Let's say the people actually waited until that age and had kids. They could still have as many kids as they want once they reach 30. I think 50 or something like that is when women are unable to have kids.
