I was going to pay money to go see Farenheit 9/11, but now that I know how hypocritical it is, I'm instead going to investigate these claims it is being shared rampantly on filesharing networks. If they turn out to be true (I will of course have to view one to make sure it is what it claims to be), I will message the pirates, and congratulate them on the great wrong they have righted. 😀
 
Ya know, I don't have a problem with the filesharing going on...but Mr. Moore sure does! If you live by the sword, you should be prepared to die by the sword, and if the music/movie industry continues to pander to our lowest common denominator and treat us like stupid sheep to be fleeced, they get what they deserve! I've seen pirate copies of movies that would insult the intelligence of an 8yr old...and I have one of those at home, so I kinda know what I'm talking about! I wouldn't pay for some of the dreck I've seen, and until they come up with some intelligent stuff, I'll continue to not pay for it...that goes for the pirated satellite tv system we have here at work too...557 channels and nothin' on, to paraphrase Bruce.
 
I know. I'm with Ricky from Trailer Park Boys on the Pirating Satellite channels thing. If you're going to be bombarding signals into my living room, don't be surprised when I use them. If you're sprinkler system shoots into my yard, I'm going to say, "Hmm, good place for a rose garden". Don't be coming up to me later and saying you want me to chip in on the water bill.

I'm with you on the ironic position of Moore, I don't think I could've put it so eloquently though.

I also agree on the file sharing issue, especially when you start quoting Trailer Park Boys. Definitely a valid point about the satellite signals...lol.

Free concert in the beaches area of Toronto. It's an all day thing, I'll be in the beer tent ::drool:: . Should be a good party though.

I just got back from some fireworks a little while ago. Its still Canada day for the next 25 minutes... so HAPPY CANADA DAY TO YOU ALL TOO. All the Red and White, my god....
