As much as I love the dynamic between Buffy and Spike on Buffy. Angel will always be my favorite. Its darker, more intellectual, and has wonderful characterizations. It also has Cordy at her best 🙂 .
 
For me I have to go with Buffy, even though I like Angel some of the past episodes just didnt intrest me that much.

Yes, Season 5 is horrible compared to the other seasons. I have a very unchartiable theory as to why and I hope that you can prove it wrong, because I really want to like Joss Whedon. All the other years of Angel were awesome and coinsidentally Whedon was working on Buffy and couldn't focus on Angel. This season, he revamped the show hired some new writers from Buffy and is concentrating on it completely. Unless you can prove otherwise, and please do, I have to suspect that Whedon is killing my show.
 
Im not really talking about Season5 but Joss isnt the one killing the show. Joss didnt not spend that much time on Buffy after he created Angel and he spent most of his time on Firefly and then on Angel, during Season6 and and some of Season7 of Buffy he was not there. Marti Noxon took main control of things in Season6 and I believe she is the one who put Spuffy together.
 
I wouldn't say it is Joss killing the show, he really hasn't had any more input in this season than any others, maybe a little, but not enough to be the one to kill, well I wouldn't say kill because I have enjoyed the season so far, some parts weren't so good, but others were great, I have enjoyed it.

And I voted for Buffy just because I've watched Buffy for many more years than Angel. I liked Buffy before I even watched Angel....so BtVS got my vote...
 
I haven't seen much of Angel...just one of the new episodes and a few reruns...but I still think I like Buffy more...probably because that was the first show I watched, and it seems like whatever you've experienced first, will always be your favorite, in a lot of different examples.

Angel can be mind-blowing in the earlier seasons, but the show's not as interesting for me anymore. I am a true Buffy fan at heart.

I like both shows equally, but I found my self chosing to watch Angel more and more often after school.
 
i cant really choose they are both excellent shows but i think maybe buffy is better
 
I've watched Buffy since episode 1. And I never stopped loving it. Angel on the other hand I gave up with on the 3rd season and only began watching back on season 5. Buffy gets my vote!
 
I voted Angel, because my whole day is centered around one thing today!
 
Buffy. It's got better dialogue and the characters are closer to each other. But Angel's pretty good.
 
I think that Buffy is better. i have been a fan of Buffy for longer and i wasnt really that interessted when it first came out. its only just recently that i have realized how cool it is!!! 😀 but i still like Buffy better and im pretty sure that i always will
 
to me its a no brainer its Buffy, without it there is no Angel and basically there is no WB. Though I have a feeling that Angel will do better in reruns sometime in the future than Buffy will.
 
I love both shows, but Buffy has always been my favourite...
