I've had the opposite approach since the pandemic. I've been traveling a bunch! Loving it! โ™ฅ

Now, when I go to supermarkets, I think more people really need to buy their groceries online.

Or at least more of the people in the supermarket when I visit do!

Or private plane? Even if it's a rental? ๐Ÿ˜€

Private planes tend to be small, and that terrifies me. I'm actually afraid of flying, but it's easier to deal with on a 747. Especially if you hit the airport bar first. Oh my God, the absolute best flight in my life was first class from Hamburg to Los Angeles. It absolutely was amazing.

But a private 747 would DEFINITELY be a dream. ๐Ÿ˜

I am sure you could rent a 747!
The last two plane rides I was on were a Stearman and a De Havilland Tiger Moth, both of them open cockpit biplanes. That's the way to travel. No windows, no aisles, just you out in the open with the pilot behind you. You have enough struts and wires around you that you feel hemmed in. You don't feel exposed until you look back.

I remember one short flight back in my spacecraft days. It was on a DC-9 from Montreal to Ottawa, about a half-hour flight. I was carrying the guidance system for the Hermes satellite from RCA, the manufacturer, in Montreal to NRC (National Research Council) in Ottawa. RCA did one thing right - they made the unit and its transit case large enough so that it couldn't fit under an economy seat or in the overhead storage, but it did fit under a first-class seat. So I got two free drinks as part of first-class service and I chose screwdrivers for both. They didn't have jetways in Ottawa back then, they had those mobile staircases and I almost fell down the one in Ottawa when we landed. The guidance system was about $300,000 in 1975 dollars but the schedule was more important than the money - damaging the guidance system would have moved our launch back to the point where we would have had to be slotted in later than the January 1976 launch date.

My grocery store thinks so, too. Ever since the pandemic, it constantly harasses me to sign up for pick-up or delivery. It's not like I lick the produce! And my method of shopping is to wander around and see what's on sale.

I do prefer to go in person too, as it's much easier to find offers and compare prices, which makes all these other people getting in my way annoying!

Whatever genre, gotta ๐Ÿงก early/mid 80s music! ๐Ÿ™‚

So, my favourite YouTubers are trying the world's most sour candy. Why? Because they got bored and like to see each other suffer. ๐Ÿ˜„ And they're including their eldest daughter. It's a family affair! ๐Ÿ’•

Yes, yes, yes thank you. ๐Ÿ˜„

Speaking of YouTubers and their obsessive fans... I've noticed on live streams that some people will also pay money just to be acknowledged. Like, sending in $50 (or more!) just for a shout out. I've seen this on a lot of different channels. I mean, to each his own but c'mon now! I'm not paying ANYONE to say hello to me.

If I'm bored and want to get someone's attention during a stream, I just say something strange. Like telling Mat that "someone else" was looking out through Chels' eyes, and she might be possessed. He actually stopped and looked at her for a minute. ๐Ÿ˜„ That freaked both of them out....mainly because they actually DO have a "ghost issue" at their house. And since they're often stoned, the idea of possession caused a bit of paranoia. I love messing with people. But you guys already knew that. ๐Ÿ˜‹

Most sour sweets aren't actually that sour, they just have an awful chemically aftertaste.

I'm not even tempted. Sweet, I can understand, but sour? Nooooo. ๐Ÿคข
I am (mostly) willing to try stupidly sour or stupidly hot. Within reason; I did turn down that million scoville sauce someone offered me.

Okay, totally random question......
what song contains the line "pondered the significance of short person behavior"?
