Also, what did everyone think of the cat reference when they were talking about his new suit? Maybe forshadowing for Catwoman in the next movie?

And how do you think Bale's negative media right now will affect the next movie?

I haven't seen it yet, but plan to as soon as the DVD is released. I detest theatres, with their dark, danky smelly ickiness, and a-holes & their cell phones & crying kids & wankers who come in late & $20 for a 12lb Nestle Crunch bar with a 14-liter soda that is watered down & I miss an important part because I have to pee....

Yeah, sorry for the run-on, but I'd rather watch it on my surround sound system in the comfy goodness of my living room, with my own popcorn & whatever else I want, and oh yeah! Pause for pee'n! Woo hoo! :lmao:

But I've heard it's really good, & I loved Batman Begins. But I also loved Batman with Michael Keaton as Batman & Jack Nicholson as Joker... and I liked the 2nd one w/Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman & Danny DeVito as Penguin. However - I am a huge Heath Ledger fan & look very forward to his portrayal of Joker. I just really hate that he died so young. 🙁

You haven't seen anything like our new theater here then, it is the coolest place ever! It's even got a restaurant and balcony seats where a waiter will bring you food, drinks, and even blankets if you are cold. It is awesome!

Heh! Detective "Stephens"!! You know, Holtz renamed Connor "Stephen". I just think that's a funny coinky-dink.
I really don't understand that, with all Bruce Wayne's money, he couldn't get a freakin voice changer attached to his mask or something that would make him sound more heroic and frightening to his enemies than a "I'm-trying-to-disguise-my-voice,-can't-you-tell", hoarse voice?
 
I loved the film, all though I don't think could watch the whole thing again, maybe just the Joker's scenes.

That's what I really came here to talk about because, MY GOD was Ledger amazing in that role. The effect the performance has on you has nothing to do with him being dead because, as someone said already, you totally forget that he has passed while watching the movie. He absolutely stole the role and the movie. He deserves an Oscar for that performance. No doubt.
 
I'm not a huge fan of the Batman Empire (so Clooney and Kilmer kinda ruined it for me) and I didn't watch Batman Begins and I pretty much just watched this to marvel at Heath Ledger...but I was very impressed. Not just with his performance as The Joker, which was unfreakingbelieveable...but just the depth and darkness of it, without relying on to much actual "dark".

And Two-Face *shudder* I was just freaked and grossed out at the face....it freaked me out worse than Ted did. And I was freaked out by Ted. But that's what kinda made that aspect awesome.

I'm sure I read somewhere Angelina Jolie is tipped to play Catwoman in the next one...
 
I like the character of Batman and all the villains but I generally don't like any of the movies cos I always want them darker, less cartoony. So this worked for me.:biggrin: I haven't seen Batman Begins (I don't think I ever will) but I thought The Dark Knight was a fantastic movie. The hype over this film really started to annoy me - too much of it puts me off going to see a film. I refused to watch any trailers or read any reviews or articles. I didn't want to end up hating the film before I had even seen it, I wanted to be able to watch it completely free of any influences.

Anyways, before I had seen it I thought maybe Heath Ledger was a bit young to play The Joker but watching it you 1. don't even realise who it is you're watching anymore - it's The Joker not Heath Ledger and 2. you forget that he's a young guy in his 20's - it's a complete and perfect portrayal in every way.

I enjoyed every other performance in the film too, especially Aaron Eckhart, and I think it works as a really good thriller movie - I haven't been to the cinema in a while and this really impressed me which doesn't happen a lot.:biggrin: So I'm goin to go see it again this Friday and I've got tickets to go see it at the IMAX theatre - YAY!: popcorn:
 
It was without a doubt the best film I have seen this year and I am quite bias because I am in love with Batman lol x


I think every actor in that film was great , but Heath and Aaron where Fantastic they both outshown Christian Bale by Miles and hes a great actor x
 
I finally got to see it yesterday, and, having just the week before watched the first one, Bane in "Dark Knight" was almost a shock. Am I the only one who noticed how much weight the guy has lost? Maybe it was on purpose to show the how the rigors of "superheroing" can affect the body, but if not, the guy looks like he's got some serious health problems.

best moment of the entire movie me and my friend joked about it for hours the magic "disappearing" pencil that the joker smashed into the guys eye!!! It mustve been a damn strong pencil cuz every time I tryed stabbing a pencil into a hard surface it just kinda breaks...

As for the rest of the movie, definately one of the best films ive seen in a long time! Heath Ledger(R.I.P.) is so amazing as the Joker! And also i loved the fact that the actor who played Holtz(cant remember the name) got his ass kicked...

Nope, haven't seen that one. These days we miss a lot more movies than we watch, even after they come out on disc. Hopefully, there'll be more time before too much longer...
 
mindblowing, truly never thought a batman movie could be this introspective and dark, almost every character was so well built, with such an amazing depth and emotional range, of course i was blown away by heath ledger's performance a true shame hes not among us anymore, one of my favourite movies recently without a doubt
