The Faith Show who would've watched it

Yeah, but they had two mains to anchor the show in. If Faith is on her own, where do you emotionally anchor it?

In the first episode, Faith could rescue a cute geeky girl who goes on adventures with her on her bike and learns to fight as well... okay, at this point I'm either fantasizing or accidentally coming up with the plot of Xena...

Is this the making of a new fanfic from you?! (Say yes!) ;)
To be fair, Eliza Dusku is a much better actress than Lucy Lawless, she might be able to carry a series like Bill Bixby or Scott Bakula with minimal supporting cast.

Bill Bixby I think had no regulars in the series? Scott Bakula, having recently watched the series, had one regular of Al and no real other recurring characters (beyond appearing in a couple of episodes). It does seem to help if there is another regular character to bounce off; I mentioned Xena and Supernatural but you also have Hercules and probably more.

I fear the Faith spin-off would have probably been...mediocre. God, I wish it existed so I could watch all of it on constant repeat.
I suspect at least one of the Potentials would have been made part of the cast. Would seem more odd than if none of them were.

I mean if Tim Minear was writing it, it should be better than mediocre. He was the best writer on either Buffy or Angel

I absolutely would have watched it! In my opinion, Faith is the most interesting guest star on the show, and there is so much that could be explored. I think that, on top of the monster-of-the-week format, it also would have been cool to see some focus on her background and childhood and how that led to her current characterization. Though this process started in Buffy and Angel, maybe she spends the first season on her own with a cast of recurring characters, then gains a companion or two as she learns to trust others. Maybe that companion could be one of the Potentials, another side character from one of the shows, or an entirely new character! And like he does in the comic Robin could call her to give her tips on monster attacks. Hypothetically, of course. I do want to read some more of the comics with Faith, maybe they included some of these aspects.
Supernatural mostly managed with that though. They had a serious dearth of consistent side characters, and they also had a tendency to die off.
Yes, I agree that it would have probably been best to format the show like Supernatural! There could have been some recurring locations (like the Kansas bunker and Bobby's house), and recurring characters who were tied to a specific place or order, like maybe Faith deals with specific demon or witch circles at some point and those are some recurring characters, as well as some other Slayers post season 7. That would have worked so well! And the show probably would have ran concurrently with Supernatural, so it would have been funny if Eliza Dushku guest starred on SPN as another monster hunter, not technically a crossover since they would have ran on different networks but like an Easter egg.

And now I'm getting too excited with ideas for a show that won't ever exist XD
