I am! I REALLY want Portsmouth to win just because I love an upset but I can't see it.

I'm also holding out for penalties cos I love penalties, they're so intense, no matter who's playing!

LOL. I was expecting a result similar to the last game of the season so I guess Portsmouth did well to avoid that. It would have been a good way for them to end the season after everything that's happened but if you ain't got what it takes, you ain't got what it takes!

Portsmouth had a chance but Boateng blew it when he missed the penalty. In all fairness though Chelsea should have won by more, they hit the woodwork five times after all.

Cup final was a good game, fair play. I genuinely think Portsmouth could have won if Boateng had scored on the penalty. Alas it wasn't to be, shame because we all love an upset, that's the magic of the cup. On a sidenote, I think David James played well and will have done his England chances some good. Not only did he make the saves, but he played like a veteran and was a true leader on the pitch.

I don't like David James, I never really have done. Although I do think the stick he gets, well used to get, was unfair. But I do have to agree. I think given the attention that's being paid to his future and stuff he played well in the face of it.

And yes, I love the FA Cup for being the competition where the underdogs can sometimes do wonders. Even if they don't win, it gives other teams a chance to shine.

All I'm saying is:

Love is most certainly in the air

Championship playoff final?
Cardiff vs Blackpool, in the biggest money game in football, at roughly £90m. I reckon Cardiff are going to take it. Blackpool seem very happy to have got this far, but I don't think they've got the professionalism and mentality to go all the way. Cardiff have a very serious attitude, to them failure is not and option, and I think this determination will take them to the Premiership.
On a side note, Cardiff have sold out their allocation of 40,000 tickets, but haven't filled their 26,000 seater stadium at a single league game. So that means at least 14,000 glory supporters are on their way to wembley tomorrow.

On their way to watch two teams play on a crappy pitch lol

I'm rooting for Cardiff, and I don't have a very good reason for that except that I always root for Cardiff in the Championship, probably because of the Torchwood link lol!!

I'm rooting for Cardiff too. My mum's family are from South Wales so I guess it's in my blood...kinda 😛

Ah, play offs and talk of Wembley bring back memories from going to see Hull play there two years ago. Honestly, one of the best days of my life, the atmosphere was just incredible. It was good while it lasted! 😛

I hope Blackpool win, having a Welsh side in the English premier league would just be strange.

It's not the English premier league. It's offically called 'the Barclays Premier League', there's no mention of it being English. Saying you don't want a Welsh team there is basically just xenophobia, Cardiff have as much right to be in that league as any English team.
As a person with Welsh and Cardiffian blood, I am offended 😀

Playoff final:
The first half was great to watch, really exciting football. However, Blackpool seemed to be able to do as they pleased with the ball. The second half was less entertaining, Blackpool strung together some nice passages of play, Cardiff seemed to resort to the long ball, and didn't take their chances when they came.
Overall I'm gutted Cardiff lost, but at the end of the day Blackpool deserved it, they were by far the better side, the scoreline doesn't really reflect their superiority. Will be interesting to see how they do in the premiership next year...

World Cup in a week guys!! Can't wait until it starts.

Australia will play badly but for some reason i have a feeling we'll make it through our group only to get hammered in the round of 16.

How do you know that they'll play badly? I hope they'll do good. I have to admit that I've been incredibly bad at updating myself for WC.

Good thing or bad? At least it's now confirmed that Rafa leaves Liverpool. Liverpool FC Statement - Liverpool FC I wonder who'll get the job now. Not like it's a very attractive club to take over at the moment. With new owners things might change but who know if that happens or if they'll be good for the club.

No!!! The England World Cup injury curse strikes again...
