Its kinda cold where I am in California. It rained for like the last 5 days but its hardly ever cold here so i'm kinda loving it, all except for the being cold part.

Ok, the mojo's gettin' better...maybe more musk ox hair...and a bigger ice pick...

LOL - work that weather magic!

redslayer: Nope, I'm a Calgary Flames fan!

The Maple Leafs are the team you either love or hate. They probably have some of the most loyal fans in the world. Even when they stunk as a team and were in last place they sold out their arena...and now that they are actually contending, the hype is just amazing. People with seasons' tickets leave them to their children in their wills, and getting a ticket to any particular game is virtually impossible.

Sens fan here myself!! GO SENS GO! 🙂

Toronto also has (and let me preface this by saying I do NOT mean to offend anyone, it's more or less a common Canadian perception) some of the most obnoxious fans as well.

Now being a Sens fan..you've probably guessed that I live in Ottawa. Since Ottawa is so close to Toronto, the rivalry is indeed a prickly one. However, Montreal is only 2 hours away, and you don't see this.

The conclusion? Leafs fans are obnoxious! 🙂

Oh, yeah, I'm with ya sister!! I work in a place crawling with Leaf fans...and boy are they annoying!

On a weather note, it was -1c and sunny today, so I rode around in the car and had the windows down. I know, stereotype, but the stereotype had to come from somewhere...

English is not so good, there have been bright moments but they have not lasted long and even thought the sun is out, it is freezing!

Ahh, success! Musta been the "hair of the ice princess" I added to my dwarf mojo...ok, it was my ex-sister-in-law's hairbrush, but she fits into the catagory of "ice princess"...

NOOOOO! You poor thing! I used to work at the Corel Centre...it's so nice being around supportive, well-behaved fans! LOL!

Oh it's gorgeous here..it's sunny and -7 this morn, but supposed to go up to -2 today. I will be enjoying this weather I tell ya! 🙂

Did anyone notice how quickly this thread got subverted? One minute it's Aussies complaining about the heat - then Limeys whingeing about winter (we do it so well😉)- then Canucks pointing out they've got it worse and can handle it better (and working some sort of weathery mojo on the poor old Californians🙂 - I'm looking at you, killerdwarf🙂) - then it's ice hockey.
Don't we have fun here?...sometimes I think I enjoy these non-show related posts more than the ones about Buffy or Angel ...

Wow, that'd be an awesome job...if the fans were well behaved, did you just watch the game? And get paid to do it? Cool!

Mr.P : Some of the best scenery is on the backroads...and you're always glad you went that way, even if it was out of the way...and we all get to know each other a bit better, which makes the Buffy-related conversations even more interesting! And, my weather mojo insures I'll always get the last word!! ::evil:: ::snow2::

Bloody hell! - that's a real down home and hokey old metaphor but so very true. Very well put and thanks for that insight KD. If you're not careful, you'll be challenging LazyDolphin on the verbosity front😉

Now if you can stop the pitiful precipitation we're having at the moment ( I hesitate to call it snow, given the Canadian experience😉) it would make our drive to work a bit easier tomorrow morning🙂

What can I say, I'm a down home hokey kinda guy!

Ok mon ami, just for the sake of not pranging up those British vehicles, I'll try to reverse the dwarfmagic...***muttering*** stir CCW, add grapefruit seeds, Florida vacation brochures...***walks off muttering***

Merci, mon brave. It got above zero degrees on the way to work this morning...Canadians driving round with windows down🙂
Now, if you could cool it down a little in Phoenix in September...

I don't know if you know this or not Mister P, but there is a land of milk and honey in Canada called the West Coast. We get fed by the gulf stream.

We've been driving around with windows down for some time now out on the West Coast. While KD has been telling you about blizzards and 30 below out east, we have been planting tulips out here. They're in bloom now.

It's interesting, it creates a kind of affectionate dissatisfaction between east and west coasters. They grumble at us because we're so cocky about our blizzard-free weather.

I don't know why but I thought you were from the US nerd4hire - sorry. I did know but had forgotten about the apparently balmier weather on the west coast of Canada.

I'm guessing the Gulf Stream that you're talking about is completely different from the one which has a major influence on the UK's weather (from the Gulf of Mexico I guess - Caribbean/Florida area at least) - on account of having continental North America getting in the way 🙂

Oops...you're right. It must be some other warm weather current coming up from Mexico. I know our harbour never freezes, and we get EL Nino on the years it's active.

I thought I would weigh in and get my grummbles on too.

It's done nothing but snow here for the last three days, we even had an avalanche in tiny little Park City that killed a person or two...

... I think that I need to move somewhere the summer is longer than the winter, oh, I can just immagine it now...

To answer your question, killerdwarf: Its like super hot here! its muggy too, I was liturary sitting under the air con trying to get cool! but its ok today, hot but got a bit of a breese.
Also I heard that in Queensland (aus) there was a flood, is everyone ok?

Man it's frikkin' freezin' here in England. Especially today. I mean it's been snowing, i'd kill for a bit of hot weather.

In fact i did, but the dude i killed lied, the weather didn't get any better. 😉
