The I Hate Riley Club!

Although I thought he was a big dullard, it's hard to hate him. He doesn't do anything really terrible, or much at all actually. He's pretty down to earth and nice, which can be annoying but not so much that I hate him.

Well, he did "cheat" on our Buffy with vampire whores...
I gotta agree on the glad her left part. I actually find myself watching season 5 and every time he's having one of his "moments" i just press fast-foward on my remote!
I don't know if I hate him per say, but maybe it's just I didn't think he was right for Buffy. They could've still had the Initiative arc without having Buffy go out with him. Although, when him and Buffy find out about each other in Hush has to be one of my fave moments of the whole season...
 
"How about, I'll be me, and you be Buffy." Ugh! Obviously a bad match. Spike showed her what she really needed. (And this from a Bangel fan.)
 
I don't HATE Riley... in S5. 😀 It feels like he's family in S5, and he's a lot more realistic. But in S4 he's nothing short of completely annoying, boring, and prejudiced (although I love it when he free's Oz in New Moon Rising 😀 ). He's so pathetic around Buffy, and I hate how she has to go easy on him to not damage his fragile, misogynistic ego. That whole "you're a woman so you need help, I'm a man so I can take care of myself" thing. Grr, and how 'bout that cheese/ corn- fed Iowa boy thing? Gahhh.... 😀
