You summed up exactly how I feel about Illyria. She is soo cool. and Joss did say that by the end ot his season, Fred would be like a slayer, a superhero. So, I know she is in there mixed up with Illyria. And now we have this super sexy, hot, blue, powerful Illyria and she and Wes can get together. And she is the powerful female they have needed for so long.

I'll sell my brother-in-law's soul. Wait.....I sold it to get some Spuffy in season 7.
 
After "Shells," I really love Illyria! She's so complex, yet so simple 😛 . I really want to see how she'll end up. Don't get me wrong; I still love Fred 😀!

I have always thought that Amy Acker has a sweet n' sexy demeanor in her portrayal of Fred. I have considered her to be one of my favorite characters; partly for the reason I already gave, but also she has great lines (and I was very moved by the display of character she had while facing death). Her last words stuck a chord in my :: red :: .

That being said, YES, Illyria is the definite change for Fred that I have heard so many fans of the show plead for. She gets to start fresh, moves with an alien grace and sensuality ::drool:: , and grants the LA team a powerful ally (for what I am sure is to be one hell of a dire and messy finish to my personal favorite show) or feared villian (think Glory, if she were a BETTER fighter and could slow time).
It is sad that Winifred Burkle will never get to rest in peace, but that which walks around in her carcass is one of the most interesting ideas in the last few seasons. ::bat::

mmmm, i must agree i think that fred look smokin hot and she is showin off those acting chops

she has done a great job of being fred, now she has her moment to shine. so shine on fred....... illyria


plus the name illyria is so frickin cool
 
I think that blaming Illyria for what happened is like blaming a shark for being a shark. She was an ancient demon - pure and simple.

In an interview at the beginning of the season, Joss said that by the end, fred would be much more like Buffy. And if you think about that, Buffy and all slayers are humans infused with demon....intermingled to make a new being. Not just her strength, but her confidence and her instincts. And that makes me believe that Fred is still very much a part of Illyria. And this takes her character so much further than she ever could have gone as Fred.

a very good point, i didnt think of it that way. but its very true. they tried that with cordy... the whole part demon thing, but that didnt pan out. but i like the fact that its fred but upgraded...... its FRED3000!!! 🙂

nice.... you know when you go back and watch the shows you can see all types of clues in different shows, that is just a small part of why i love joss🙂

Put her in your signature, site, blog or whatever, with/without the worrds I adopted Illyria... it's kind of informal, if this wasn't a doll, but a banner, I'd be saying, you could use the graphic if you wanted to.
 
Where do those little dolls come from? They seem to be popping up everywhere.

I know, it doesnt really make much sense, I mean like the music with the video, but I really couldnt think of a full song to go with some of the stuff from 'Shells'...

So maybe, when we see more of her in future eps, I'll do another one...hope you like everybody...
 
It's great, though I think at the end you should've showed at shot of her at the temple with the destroyed army.
