The importance of Friends

And I agreed with the "cult" thing at first...but I think i agree more with what elmo is saying, although i do feel a group of people can be a cult...cause well thats what a cult is, you gotta have people to have a cult, but cult members aren't friends. At least I wouldn't consider them friends. My friends are the same way the way you described, elmo, and thats why im friends with them...

That's exactly the point I'm trying to make. I think the kind of group that you could call a cult are not "friends" but mere "aquaintances". I'm glad that someone is getting my point, thank you BillieHunter. I agree that you have to think carefully about who you can call your "friends". If the group you hang out with the most can be described as "yes" men then they are not your friends. But it isn't possible to generalise the word "friend" the way some people do.

I like the quote but I prefer the "friends are your true family" one though because to me blood means nothing, actions speak louder than being related by chance

True.

Family can be pretty nast y to you at times.

I only have a few true friends.

Others talk behind my back and try to steal my man, but that's just jelousy.

It hurts though, so I guess both of those saying could work.

Just be careful on h=who your friends are and how much you trust them....
