Doppelgang
Always Believe
I rewatched the 3 final episodes last night, I thought I'd watch them as one long three part finale to the series.
In villains most of the Jonathan/Andrew dialogue in prison is funny, Andrew thinking Warren's gonna rescue them, Andrew saying he was going to carry Jonathan when he was questioning why he didn't get a jet-pack. Other than that it's all about the Willow/Warren showdown, from which arises the question, Is Willow's form of eye for an eye justice right, or is Buffy right to insist that they don't kill humans?
In two to go, a great Xanya moment is this bit of dialogue:
ANYA: She (Willow) tried to use you for a hood ornament, Xander. She doesn't care if you live or die.
XANDER: Guess you two finally have something in common
ANYA: I care if you live or die, Xander. I'm just not sure which one I want.
Then there's Andrew referring to Willow as a magic mama, here's the whole quote:
ANDREW: And then what? You think your little witch buddy's gonna stop with us? You saw her! She's a truck-driving Magic Mama! And we've got maybe seconds before Darth Rosenberg grinds everybody into Jawa-burgers, and not one of you bunch has the midichlorians to stop her.
XANDER: You've never had any tiny bit of sex, have you?
ANYA: The annoying virgin has a point. What if Willow fillets their soles and then comes after us?
Xander calling Jonathan dabble-boy is another funny moment
Willow criticising Whiny Dawn! I feet a bit more sorry for Dawn each time I see it, but it still cracks me up a bit
Finally Grave:
1) Anya wanting a hug from Giles, saying, I'm blond too
2) Alyson Hannigan does great in all 3 episodes, just little things in her performance make it so believable and dramatic
3) Xander managing to connect with Willow, and of course the yellow crayon moment!
4) Buffy realising she's let Dawn down at the end, saying she wants to show her the world now, not protect her from it.
So that's my season 6 rewatch complete, it's still as good as I remember it to be from past viewing it, and I'm sure there's still loads more little moments in it to be unearthed. 🙂
