I have finally caught up, so let's talk Fringe!

I love love love love love this show. I can't even tell you how much. I just started watching last Decemberish and it took me forever to get through it since Netflix only had it available on DVD (I'm on the 3-at a time plan & was watching some other things too). Then when I finally finished watching seasons 1 and 2 I had to wait until September for season 3 to come out on DVD. Geesh!

So, favorite characters? Favorite episodes?

I loved Lysergic Acid Diethylamide, as well as 6B- hilarious lines from Walter in there! There really are very few characters I dislike. I really hated the alternate universe's characters at first, but the scene where Fauxlivia is giving birth was really moving, plus her interaction with alt-Lincoln (I like him more than the prime Lincoln). After that I started having more of an emotional connection with the characters in the alternate universe, although I still can't stand Walternate. Now, the characters working together across universes is interesting.

I love all of the slight differences in cultural references in the alternative universe. Really, the writing on this show is so superb. Why has John Noble not won an Oscar yet?!?!?!?!

My only caveat is that if JJ Abrams thinks I can keep all these universes straight in his mind, he is freaking crazy: the prime universe, the alternate universe, the flashbacks to Olivia & Peter's childhoods, the future possible universe as seen in The Day We Died, and now the prime universe that has been changed by Peter's "death". And I'm assuming that at some point Peter is going to re-emerge, so what will happen to everybody's memories of him being gone (& some characters not even knowing him at all)? Will his & Fauxlivia's baby suddenly re-emerge? I just don't know how they're going to put all of this back together, and hopefully they haven't ruined the series by doing this.

Trivia: I'm looking at Wikipedia's Fringe entry- I had no idea that Zack Whedon wrote some of season 1's episodes!

And I love these scenes from The Box:

OK, just one more. I have got to get off of YouTube, now I can't stop watching Walter videos & giggling hysterically:

Just one favorite episode? No, sorry, can't choose, I love them all too much 😀

And I can't wait to see Peter come back. Not only because I love him.. but with him, all the other characters disappeared too. :/

I really like Fringe. Walter is entertaining. What I like most is Walter and Peter scenes because the chemistry between the actors and etc are just great.

I like Olivia. Peter/Olivia shipper.

I really like Fringe. Didn't like the end of season 3 though. Didn't like the direction they were heading in and found the ending to be quite boring. Season 4 has started well though. Am enjoying the two universes interacting.

Unfortunately the ratings have dropped dramatically which is a shame because I'd like another season.

Really?! I hadn't heard that, that's too bad. 🙁 Seriously, if this shows cancels after this season I will be sooo disappointed. It is honestly my favorite show on TV right now.

Just read this today: http://www.geekmom.com/2011/10/fringe-is-my-x-files/

When I watch Fringe I get totally up in it but when I take a break it doesn't take too long before I let it go. I prefer to watch many episodes at once so now that the show is back I still probably won't watch until december or something.

I wouldn't say she's my favourite as such but I tend to mention Astrid most of the time anyway. She need and deserve love.

Favourite episode? No way I can remember that. Sadly.

Had no idea that Zack Whedon wrote some episodes. I like it. Now I just have to find out which ones.

It's sad that Walter is thinking that he's going crazy when he sees Peter and hears Peter's voice, when ideally he should be happy. That's some pretty strong irony there, all due to the fact that the Observers have erased everyone's memories of Peter. I have a feeling that the Observers are also behind the fact that none of the characters seem to acknowledge that there are two Lincolns (either that or they are ignoring it). The past couple of episodes have been very good lessons about human nature. The serial killer episode nicely discussed how humans are always hoping to be the best selves they can be, and the killer fungus episode extrapolated on the dangers of isolation one's self from the rest of the world (at worst, everyone else can cease to exist).

I was soooo excited
to see Peter at the end of this last episode! I was hoping we wouldn't have to wait so long. It's been sad to me to see how everyone's life is altered without Peter there. My kids happened to be watching this episode with me and were cracking up at naked Peter in the lake LOL.
What can I say, I have 3 boys!

I've watched the first 3 seasons of this show and I do really enjoy it. I'm a huge Olivia and Peter fan. I love Walter, I always feel so sorry for him. He's always trying to protect his son, but ends up putting the world in danager. Its such an interesting concept. I cant wait to start watching season 4.
