The O.C. Season 4

Aw that is so depressing, I was really hopeing to see more since it was so much better this season 🙁

Well I'm glad it didn't end with season 3 and go out on a low. And it will be part of the whole pop culture thing (Do you see One tree hill doing that, oh, no no you dont 🙂)

I really havent paid the OC that much attention to care about their plots or whatever. I just saw on tv.com that the OC was cancelled, and so I decided a party was in order.

Its been cancelled but they get the rest of the season to finish it thank god

It makes sense to cancel it, it kind of feels like the show has lost it's direction lately, I feel like they don't really know what to do with it and in what way they wanna go, I do like what I see now though, but mostly in a weird way, and I don't think they could keep my interest up for much longer going on like this.

That sucks majorly!

Once again one of my fav shows is cancelled....depressing!

I'm glad they get the rest of the season to finish it off though. Cos leaving the last aired episode as the last...I'd be pissed.

According to the imdb [http://www.imdb.com/news/wenn/2007-01-04/#3]; "Beloved teen soap The O.C. has been canceled due to falling ratings following actress Mischa Barton's decision to quit the show." I didn't know that ratings were falling down, on the contrary, everything I read here, and on imdb and anywhere else indicated that the majority of the viewers were quite happy that Mischa Barton left the show because they didn't like Marissa at all. I am quite surprised of the outcome.

I'm actually sad about this, I only recently got into The OC but I’m almost caught up with everything. I get why Josh wants the show to go out on a creative high and I think that's a good decision but the show could easily get another season. Well it was good while it lasted, I hope to see Rachel and Adam ect on some other things 😀

Can't say I'm surprised it's cancelled, can't say I'm sad about it either. Loved the show, or liked at least, but the fourth season isn't the OC I knew, at all, so yeah, it deserves to be cancelled...

I actually love it this season. Mischa Barton did not in anyway make that show. Just cos she's left doesnt mean the show gets worse. I love Taylor and Caitlyn and Im really surprised its been cancelled 🙁

Mm I agree. I love Taylor especially, and this season is kind of hilarious. It's not the same show as the first three seasons though, feels like it's about something completely different and completely different people. A little bit as if it was a spin-off, even though most of the characters are actualy the same.

I dont see that at all. To me it seems like it always has. I dont believe one character changes that much about a show by leaving. It doesnt seem any different to me at all.

It's cancelled? I haven't even started watching this season yet! Is it really that different without Marissa? Skinny wench got on my wick anyway. Her head was too big for her wrists. And knees.

Must admit I'd be more miffed if they cancelled Smallville, or Bones even (they haven't been cancelled have they???).

Smallville's on a different Network than FOX. Anyway, that show's going good, and Al Gough is thinking about ending it after season 7, so I don't think the network would end it at six..

Also, FOX wouldn't end Bones in it's second season, since ratings are well. Did they move Bones to Thursday? I thought it was on Tuesday?

Skit....I could not have been more bored by The OC.
Who really cares about the lives of kids that have everything they could want?

Well back in the first series, which is amazing TV, something like 10 million viewers.

FINALLY Someone agrees with me!

Well it just took so long because your opinions are stupid.

Ok there not stupid, there just wrong, you should look into getting new opinions.
🙂

And just want to point out, that One tree Hill isn't doing as good as The O.C. at the moment. The last two episodes of OTH were watched by 4.15 million people and 4.24 and The O.c. was watched by 4.29 and 4.51, so even after a terrible season and some very questionable storylines it seems people are more interested in the lives of Kids that get everything they want, then those of the kids who's lives are so unbelievably random, who'd think you were channel surfing and a whole bunch of storylines got meshed together (I like the show, but gotta say there storylines have been much worse then The O.C.)

W
What happened to good TV?
Your opinion IS correct :p I still dont see why people can be pleased that a show is cancelled...
I must admit the rockstar storyline was a bit out there, but other than that, One Tree Hill's storylines have been somewhat reasonable. So, most schools don't have school shootings, but I thought that one was handled well. And the stalker storyline was handled well. So, most kids don't get married in high school...most kids aren't stinkin rich either.

Hey, for me (in the UK) they are all either on E4 or Sky one - I just think 'Monday at 9, Smallville, Tuesday at 9, The OC, Wednesday at 9, Desperate Housewives, Thursday Bones, etc. etc. so it makes no difference who airs it initially! Actually, I don't think. I have a gant chart which shows all possible combinations and repeats, E4+1 etc. Ok I'm anal, I'll admit it.

Sky have a habit of dumping stuff or switching it to HD only after 2 or 3 episodes, that's why I asked about Bones. We have seen probably 4 or 5 of the new series and it's up and disappeared from Sky One. Poss a Christmas thing, but they aren't great at explaing why! They have explained about the Lost hiatus though... probably because of the better ratings.
