Here's the next installment. I wrote it today. I hope you guys like it. Let me know what you think of it please.
"I'm coming " Welor yelled out as she ran to open her front door. She opened it and standing right there was Xavier. "Xavier, what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to pick you up for our date. Don't tell me you forgot already?" he responded.
Welor gave him a blank stare, "Okay, what are you doing here?"
Xavier rolled his eyes, "It was worth a shot. I need to talk to you. You wanna take a ride?"
Welor was a little worried being alone with Xavier. He was the guy that lead her to her dream death numerous times. But he was also the guy who saved her life. She smiled at him, "Sure, let me get my jacket."
"So what do you need to talk to me about?" Welor asked after a long awkward silence.
Xavier reached into his back seat, pulled out a book, and put it on Welor's lap.
"What is this?" she asked.
"It's a big book with the word vampire on the cover dummy." He responded.
Welor glared at him, "I know that But why do you have it?"
"Well, after what happened last night, I wanted to know more about those things that attacked us," Xavier then leaned over and opened his glove compartment to reveal a wooden stake and a cross. "So I picked up a few things."
"I told you to leave this alone " Welor yelled. "If you go around playing vampire hunter, you're gonna get yourself killed "
Xavier didn't take his eyes of the road as he talked to Welor. "So suddenly the Homecoming queen gives a damn wether some no good gangster lives or dies?"
Welor touched his hand and Xavier turned to look at her. "I don't think you're a no good gangster. I think you're the sweetest and bravest guy I know. You saved my life Xavier. I'll never forget that." She smiled at him and he smiled back. Suddenly she thought, "Mija, what are you doing? This is Xavier you're talking to The guy who yanked off Veronica's ponytail in ninth grade and told everyone he got it from a horse. You can't be interested in him" Welor quickly let go of his hand and changed the subject, "So what are you planning on doing with this information anyway?"
Xavier pulled over and turned to Welor. "What do you think? I'm gonna kill all them mofos."
Welor couldn't believe what she was hearing."What?"
Xavier leaned over to his backseat and took out some papers. "Well after I went shopping today, I did a little research. I wanted to know if there were any vampire attacks before."
Welor looked at the sheets of paper. They were newspaper articles that were printed from a computer, "And what did you find out?"
"I found out that a lot of people started dying from some severe neck sucking a little over a year ago," Xavier responded. "Before that, nada."
Welor took a sheet from Xavier and looked at the picture. It was Serena, a girl that went to Sacramento High with them. She laid on the ground dead with a big bite mark on her neck.. "I can't believe they put this picture in the newspaper. That poor girl. To think of all those times I was mean to her."
Xavier took the sheet from Welor, "It's alright. There's no way you could have known."
"Is that supposed to make me feel better?" Welor asked.
"Look I know you feel bad," Xavier responded, "but we have to concentrate on what's important. There have been more and more killings every week. I have a feeling that these vampires are planning something big. We just have to find out what it is."
"How are we supposed to do that?" Welor asked.
Welor walked down the dark alley. She thought Xavier's idea was crazy and that there was no way it could work. Still, she had to do whatever it took to stop the vampires from killing anyone else. Somehow, she knew she was connected to whatever was happening. The dreams she was having weren't meaningless. But if that was the case, she also couldn't let her guard down with Xavier. "Vampires, where are you?" she whispered to herself. "This is ridiculous," she thought. "I'm just going to go back and tell Xavier that his master plan isn't working."
"Are you lost baby girl?" a voice said from behind her.
She turned around to see a figure hidden in the shadows. "Who's there?"
The person stepped out of the shadows only to reveal his demonic facade.
Welor gasped as she recognized the vampire, "You're the same one who attacked me at Chrome."
The vampire smiled, "Well, well, well. I didn't expect to run into you again. You sure have a knack for getting yourself into trouble. Why are you always alone anyway? Got no friends?"
Welor smiled, Actually, I do." She whipped out her cell phone and pressed it against her ear. "Now!"
At the end of the alley two headlights flashed on. Suddenly a car came speeding toward Welor and the vampire.
Welor jumped out of the way.
The vampire's eyes widened as the car slammed into him and sent him flying against the other end of the alley.
The car stopped and Xavier let himself out. "Wow, I guess vampires really can fly. Who knew?"
Welor smiled at him and put hand on his shoulder. "Thanks friend."
Xavier turned to Welor, "And you are the best bait ever. You should think of doing that professionally."
They both walked over to the unconscious vampire and Xavier knelt down before it, "Welor, you better have that cross and stake handy. We're gonna take our new friend for a little trip."
