On April Fool's Day Keanoite and the othe Mods came up with a big joke that Buffy Summers (the creator of the site) had decided to stop being the site runner and she had passed the power to Keanoite. So Keanoite decided to make everyone on the boards post in the Bangel Appreciation Thread or else their accounts would be deleted but it was all just a silly joke just like Bangel. YAY SPUFFY!!!

I COULD go pages long about how Spuffy love is better than Bangel. It would be long, full of good and proving points, but it would take a lot of space, and time to read.

You are right and you are wrong. Buffy and Angel are romantic. And in season 6 Buffy and Spike didn't seem very romantic. But it all changes in season 7. They have some romantic moments. And how is Spuffy not passionate? This is the biggest thing that Spuffy has and Bangel doesn't. Bangel where more romantic than patssionate, they are tender and not very raw. Spuffy brought a house down!

Their love for each other becxame romantic when they discovered just holding each other could bring happiness and even more love.

I see Spuffy as the grown up ship. This is what love is. It's not high shcool puppy love like Bangel was. This is passionate, and raw.
Like Spike said: It consumes.

Love is hell... embrace it, live with it, and enjoy it.

Watch season 7. Especially the last episode where their hands are burning as one, looking into each other's eyes, and "I love you". That's just one example, I'm sure you'll find more of them.

I don't necessarily think that Spuffy is romantic and I'm a Spuffy. If I wanted stereotypical romance then I'd ship Bangel but that's not what interests me. I love the complex, contradictory, anti-romance that is Spuffy, that's what intreagues me and that's what i relate to. Don't get me wrong I think that Buffy and Spike got to a really great place in season seven but i call it intimacy rather than romance.

The difference between Spuffy romance and Bangel romance, is the fact that Bangel was more like a kitchy and unrealistic, makes some people puke romance, sorry. "I love you, I try not to, I'm afraid to lose you, don't leave me" romance. In season 3 I couldn't stand it anymore. Spuffy was a mature and realistic and doesn't make you puke romance, it was the real thing. You don't have to say "I love you" to make the situation romantic.

I guess all Spuffies looks at it different. I'd call it romance when it's intimacy(to me it kinda hangs together), but that's up to the individual shipper...

I think what attracts me to the Spuffy realtionship is that these two people are so different. They can't get more different actually. They obviously knows that, and hate it, but still loves each other.
Plus Spuffy brings out their real personality(as I've said before 😛)
Spike shows he wants a relationship, and one who acknowledges it.
Buffy, wants someone as strong as her if not stronger than her to be more on same wavelenght.




....And one more thing: Bangelers ALWAYS uses the attempted rape thing in a discussion...Geez... Yeah, well Spike knew it was wrong, and he decided to get something she deserved....A man with a soul! From bad things, good things spring (danish saying)
