Wow, I didn't know those thingamabobs came in that many colors. Anyway, I think they look ridiculous. I mean it's okay if you wanna wear them around the house. But to wear them outside where the people are.......
 
But they have those little colorful buttons that you can button on different holes... and for the record:

You know, with Uggs I can still understand why you want to wear 'em, since they're nice and warm and everything. But I really can't understand crocs. They're not warm, you can't wear them outside when it's raining. When CAN you actually wear them? And I've tried them on, but if you have problematic feet, IMO, birckenstock is still way more comfortable, and slightly more fashionable, too.

Can't stand Uggs, either and they are ALL the rage here.
These were perfect for our beach adventures but I cannot think of any other place you would wear them than somewhere you want feet covering with water.

But I heard last year they were in the process of being banned in this country.

It's easy really. You should try it sometime.

But I think Crocs are horrific. I'm really picky about shoes, I feel ill just looking at Crocs.
 
I'll never understand Crocs. They're not even that comfortable. The same goes for Uggs. I mean, I get that Uggs are warm, but there are plenty of other boots that are less ugly, just as comfortable, and MUCH less expensive. Plus, the girls in my school don't just wear them when it's cold out...they wear them in the eighty degree heat with a miniskirt.
 
I have no idea why they're so popular, but I can hazzard a guess.....at least for MY locale. Won't say it, because that would be mean, and y'all already hate Texas, LOL! Uggs are popular here too, another fad I don't get because I think they're every bit as fugly as Crocs...and it's not like you need them to battle the entire LACK of cold here.
 
everyone in my family has a pair...me too (camoflage ones).

The comfort is I think due to the sandle like nature of them....but they are rubber and not sandle like and leather,I think they buck the break in period because of this.

Yes, they are ugly. No I don't care. yes you can customize them with buttons and I don't think I'll look....but thats another selling point.....

Maybe some of their appeal is due to the fact you can order buttons for them, they have theese little holes in them that can be filled with buttons, my wife and daughter have Disney themed princess stuff but it could just as easily be a storm trooper or a dildo, whatever rocks your socks as far as taste and tolerance premits....or your penchant to offend straightlaced (no pun intended) memebers of society goes.

I believe they have mass appeal due to this custimization feature of button placement....ugly or not.... you make a Buffy "B" as a button and I think a few hypocrits might surface on these boards.

They allow buttons for your feet and if your going to have a jean purse ridddled with Buffy buttons your the type of person I admire and someone who might wear fur lined croc's with Buffy buttons.

No matter how tattered or repulsive the image (unless your talking true fugly) it is the message that gets acrost.

I see alot of healthcare workers wearing the holeless (JACO approved) kind. They are comfortrable, and are light if you have big feet like myself and are on them all day.

satan has got nothing to due with these....capitalism maybe.

I suggest the board makes sells some Buffy Buttons in the gift shop. Advertised outside our boards who knows, it may sell well....at least prototype it...then again it may allready be out there.
 
Many years ago ( in the 70's ) a very similar version of them was plastic sandals. They sold millions of them, they were mainly used for beachware.

And about the Ugg Boots, who designed them? The original manufacturers or the pratts that 'took' the idea.
 
Haha, my best friend has a pair of these in neon green she bought for our motto week at school, for the motto day 'kommt ranzig zur Schule', meaning looking totally crappy (ah it was such an easy day...I don't think anyone was wearing makeup or had brushed their hair or anythng, lol).
 
Aye, they are evil. The work of humans, though. Satan is the personification of the left path 🙂
