Tattoo!

Hey guys Ive decided as one of my anniversary presents to my girlfriend tammy im going to get a love heart tattoo on my left peck of a heart with a banner underneath saying her name. I wanted to know if tattoos hurt a lot or a bit or not at all Im nervous lol.

Nah. No sweat. Tattoo's are a bit annoying in the sense that it feels like a cat scratching you for the duration, but nothing to get your chundies in a bunch about. Congrads, and good luck!
 
The thing is that people are different. Just because someone says it doesn't hurt or do hurt it doesn't mean that it will be the same for you. But people do seem to manage to get through it. 😉 So I'm sure you'll be fine.

Good for you. I got my girlfriend's name tatoo'd onto my manhood in big letters. Her name is Francessca Evangeline Wilheminia.


Edit: Ah sorry. On a more serious note, i haven't had any tatoos yet so i can't add anything of value to this thread (i don't add anything of value to any thread anyway 😀 ) so just ignore.

No they dont hurt. But when you go for it make sure you aint hungover and hungry like i was for my last one. It makes it harder for your body to handle if your not feeling good. If you have a big breakfast first it will be a breeze.

I heard you really shouldn't drink any alcohol the day before you get a tattoo, otherwise it will bleed like hell.
 
It'll probably sting or hurt to begin with....but you'll get used to it....it's the healing part that's more annoying.

I'm probably going to say something very unpopular right now, I know you love her and all...but do you really want her name on you? Call me superstitious or whatever....but that doesn't seem to work for a lot of people that get that done.

I don't think name tattoo's are bad at all. Sure, you might not be dating somebody anymore, but at some point of your life you sure as hell loved them, otherwise you wouldn't have gotten the tat to start with. And even if you do beak up, it's a reminder of that phase in your life, and no matter how bad the break up was, I personally would still look at the tattoo and see the happy times that were whe you first got it.

^ Imust admit that you getting one with her name is a great way to show how much you love her 🙂 But names can be bad. Just make sure it's spelled right

Honestly, if I were to ever get a name tattoed on me, it would be my kid's name...that's if I ever had one of those either. But it's almost like tempting fate....Just saying is all. By all means get something that represents your love for her and all...it doesn't have to be her name though. You'll probably find that a lot of tattoo artists will say the same thing.

I think its cool your getting her name. I mean, its only a tat. Alot of people have a problem with the permanentness of them but what else ya gonna do with skin? I even got my dogs name tattood on me 🙂 id get a chicks name tattood and if we broke up, so what?

I'm not saying it's a bad idea, if you really love her, then sure, it's a good way to show it. But no matter how madly in love you two are, you never know what'll happen
