The variant is awesome! I love it that the Dark Horse and Mutant Enemy logos are on the buildings.

You think Drew still had the Cloverfield script on his mind when he wrote this arc? 🙂 I'm really starting to like Jeanty's covers on a regular basis now.

I think this may be the first time where I prefer the variant cover to the regular.

Looking forward to this new arc 🙂

I have a question. When is Xander going to change his clothes? He's had that black outfit on since the first issue.

Senior Watcher
very astute observation. i like.

Rowan Hawthorn
Well, he does have two of those outfits... LOL

DarklyDreamingDrusilla
Maybe he is like Doug from the cartoon his whole closet is black sweaters and black pants and instead of ties he has a bunch of eyepatches. =D
white avenger
white avenger
Maybe those two outfits are all that he has that fit after he lost all that weight he'd gained the last few years in Sunnydale. I doubt that there are many shopping malls around the castle in Scotland.
I LOVE the variant. I can't wait to get both covers. What fun. HAhahaha Dawn, poor thing.

lol, this is the first time that i actually want both covers. my local comic store had the latest issue when i was in last Tuesday, (both versions) so hopefully, i'll be able to pick the varient up there, as the web site i use only stocks he regular.

i love the fact that Renee made the cover.

lol, Buffy's T-Shirt has Georges' signature as the logo!

40 PAGES!??!?! HOLY SH-NIKES!! that is the best news ever. i cant wait.

anyone else notice renee looking at xander?..............hmmmm. i see love ;-)

The variant looks great. I actually like it better than the original. I love the Dawnzilla thing. LOL

Only time we saw him wearing something else was in issue two, ducky PJs. He looked great. Wish he'd change his clothes more often.

So are Renee and Satsu like, part of the Scooby Gang now? 'Cause if they are -- I wanted notification that Joss is adding new Scoobs. He's so mean to us...

I consider them apprentice-Scoobies. If they survive s8 intact, I'll retroactively call them Scoobies.

How can they be Scoobies? They're not friends with the gang, they're just like the Slayers we hear about the most

Aren't they? I know there's a difference between colleagues and friends, but in this case they might be both. And like I said, I don't think they're Scoobies yet, but given that they're involvement with the Scoobies lasts for the rest of this season... they could be.

You don't really see them so much as talking with the gang unless it's about business, well apart from Xander, but he's just trying to get some lol

I'm wondering how long is Dawn going to stay a giant, and also are they keeping Dawn a giant because they don't know what to do with her? If that's the case why don't they just make her normal size again and send her back to school or perhaps finally give the key aspect of her some type of power like she was originally suppose to have. I believe when they first thought about Dawn she was suppose to have the power to talk to the dead, that'd be a cool idea. I just still find it hard to believe that the ONLY thing that Dawn as the key could do was open a doorway to other dimensions and that doorway could only be opened once, and that one time happened to be May 2001, even though the key is just as old as Glorificus.

I think it was because Dawn felt unimportant, just a part of the background, so Joss made her really huge and impossible to miss. Maybe he wants to leave her that way for a while because it's fun having a character that can stomp people.
