The Walking Dead - Season 3 Discussion (possible spoilers)

I remember some weird looks between Carl and Beth. I was hoping the writers could remember Carl's age or we were about to see some more dark-world stuff in an already dark world. I have never considered Carl having a crush on Beth while her and Rick begin something. Very intersting!!

I never noticed anything between Beth and Rick, I'll have to watch for that next episode. I really don't think Beth having a crush on Rick is going to go over well if the rest of the group finds out. I just hope if they do go down that (awkward) triangle rivalry road that we don't have to deal with Carl constantly running off on his own again.

I finally got a chance to watch the latest episode. I want more already! haha.

I will pitch a fit if Daryl doesn't come back.

I get the Rick story line (I'm kind of surprised he hasn't had a mental breakdown until now) but I'm just not all that interested in it. .

Same here, I love Daryl! But I doubt he is really going anywhere. He'll be back. And I agree about Rick going bonkers too. I get it, but I'm not all that interested in it.

I'm a Darryl-Maggie fan lol

Nice to know I'm not the only one who likes that idea! haha. But I still adore Glenn/Maggie 🙂

Ewww, guys! I do not like the idea of a Carl/Beth/Rick triangle! That's just icky! haha. But yeah, I can see how Carl has a crush on Beth. And I guess possibly Beth having a thing for Rick. But Riick feeling the same way? Oh dear god no! blech, she is way too young imo.

Daryl & Maggie? In a post-Glen I'd love that.

I'm not keen on Daryl & Carol becoming an item. To me it seems like Daryl see's her as a mother type.

Here's what I see as an example of Daryl not even thinking of it and being totally caught off guard when she tried to start something:

Seed (#3.1)
Daryl: We should go back.
Carol: Could be romantic... wanna screw around?
[Daryl gives her a look like "what the..?" and turns away; Carol laughs]
Daryl: [heads toward the ladder] I'll go down first.
Carol: Even better!
Daryl: Stop it

that was so funny!
Oh my god! Tonight's episode's last sequence was really awesome. It came out of nowhere for me... I didn't expect something like that to happen so soon in the second part of the season. 😱

Good stuff!

EDIT: I wonder who was the girl who jumped out of the ice cream truck (lol). It looked like she was wearing an armor. Pretty neat.

Gah last episode was insane!! Like everyone else is thinking, it came right out of nowhere! And damn I was just thinking about how much I liked Axel and then bam! He's just gone...

I love LOVE LOVE Rick's character arc this season. This show is absolutely perfect for the comic readers because we still have no idea whats going to happen. Rick went a little crazy for a few issues, but he always bounces back.. and everyone actually liked him and he just embraced his leadership. In the show, he's full on sheriff of crazy town though, and I have no idea when or how he's gonna come back (well.. unless that happened last night).

So, bets on who else is going to die?
Omg I don't know. I think they're killing off minor characters so early so they don't have any excuses to not kill major characters in the finale and/or final episodes. I think the next death from the group is going to be... Hershel.

Axel 🙁

I thought it was great for the show to illustrate how far Daryl has come in the absence of Merle and how much he has grown in the presence of (flawed) but essentially good people. I like it even more that he could recognise that staying with Merle was not what he wanted and that it is not even who he is anymore.

I hate The Governor. I know that is the point but I honestly can't even stand to see his face at this point.

I'll try to get around to it eventually. I'm slowly making my way through the comics at the minute.

SO. MANY. ISSUES.

God they're so good! Word of advice.. read them by story arc, not be issue. It's a much more satisfying story that way.
I'm not going to lose any sleep over Axel. He was a creeper. I'm not surprised Rick is crazy either; his wife died just a few days before all this. I just hope the baby doesn't die 🙁

I love that Daryl saved the family with the baby though, it really does show how he has grown overall. He is probably my favorite character overall.

I feel this way about the comic Governor. Like he literally makes me sick to my stomach. David Morissey hasn't made me feel that way (yet). Then again, a lot of the craziest things the Governor does haven't even happened yet.

Oh you know that baby is so gonna die...
I'm so nervous! Here's my prediction:

Not too spoilery, but just in case... Has to do with Lori and Judith in the comics.
I think Beth and Judith are gonna die the same way that Lori and Judith died.

Bother. I have the compendiums. They aren't divided into arcs, or even issues. Just 2000 pages of comic. Oh well.

Haha that works too! The Omnibus "chapters" are the arcs I'm referring to. I read the first Omnibus, then downloaded everything else.

This week's episode was awesome. I've heard a lot of people say it moved too slowly up until the last 5 minutes, but since I'm one of those who's not just in it for the walker-killing, I liked the character development we got to see in the remainder of the ep.
I literally gasped in shock when Axel got shot, though... I have been iffy about him since he was creepin' on Beth a few eps back, but I was starting to like him again and then BOOM! And then they used the poor guy as a bullet shield. :\
That last few minutes was absolutely crazy, though. I kept thinking Hershel was gonna die. Thank God Glenn showed up when he did, 'cause I love Hershel!
One random thought I had though, when Maggie came running out with the guns was "Who's watching Judith?" LOL

Same here. I don't need constant walkers to enjoy the story. The Axel thing caught me off gaurd
Is Beth still inside with her?

HisMrs agrees: There's no way she will be able to survive in the world they live in. It's sad, but it's true.

If she does, that will be a miracle, which may be the point they're going for, but still. They couldn't even keep Sophia quiet, how are they going to keep a baby quiet?

Is Beth still inside with her?

No Beth was outside with Carl. She was the one taking the guns Maggie run out with.
I'm guessing Maggie just left the baby alone for a while. It was quite a crisis after all...

I'm mostly curious about the girl who drove the van with the walkers.
Not sure if she was just a random person from the governor camp but somehow I want to know more about her.
