Theory for New Buffy

Hey i have a theory on how they could keep BtVS onthe air but without SMG!!! Let's say Faith and Buffy get into a fight with the first and they have almost defeated the first, but suddenly the First makes a lethal blow to Buffy and leaves Faith to finish off. In a last ditch effort at retribution Faith calls on Willow who is stadning off to the side to bring back the machine that allowed her to switch bodies with Buffy back in what season 4? willow chants and from times before the gadget is transported to Faith who explains to Buffy the only way to repay her is to do what she tried to do to everyone Buffy loved and as Buffy is fading out Faith grabs her hand with the gadget and Buffy is switched into Faith's body and Faith into Buffy's. thus allowing Faith soul to die calling another slayer but in Buffy's body so as to let SMG be gone if she wants to. Then Eliza could take over the role of Buffy and the series could continue! and to get rid of the first let's say it requires the life of the slayer and as Faith's soul is moving on it traps the first between realms....thus allowing the next big bad to step up to the plate.

I think ratings would defintiely go up since eliza would be back. After all i don't think Faith is awesome i think the actress who plays her is, and they could always say that since Buffy is now in faith's body she has some of faith's tendencies so we'd get both slayer's perosnalities and fighting styles!
 
That would actually be really really cool, because Eliza and Sarah both did great jobs at playing each other. I'm not a huge SMG fan, but I like her and would miss her terribly, but this is a *really* good idea!!

WOW you like me! you really really like me! lol well i guess it's more u like it. 🙁 but yeah it'd kick ass, b/c Eliza could put her own twist on the Buffy character and we wouldn't have to lose any of the magic of Buffy herself!
 
That would be cool. They wouldn't necessarily have to change the name of the series because it would be Buffy's spirit in Faith's body. But the thing is, wasn't that little machine was destroyed by Buffy after they switched back?
 
they could always do a body switch in another way. willow should be able to handle it....
Generally, a really great idea. The only thing is that Eliza might not want to commit to the series either. She already has a great movie career....
 
Yes, that was also my only concern, because if Eliza wanted to sign, they could just let Faith live on and let her join the Scoobies. Anyway, they could use this same tactics to get Buffy in any other body, allowing another actress to take over her role!

Do you think the Faith-Buffy would dye her hair blond?
 
Thanks! and i guess i didn't convey the idea to the fullest potential. i was trying to say the Willow could summon the little machine from before it was destroyed or re-incarnate it somehow. It's an inanimate object not a living object so it shouldn't be that difficult to do....for a Super-Mega Witch!
 
OOh yeah i forgot that Diminished! they did, and so my plan unfolds!! mwahahahaha (<evil laugh) j/k, lol

and nerd4hire...i would sure hope that Eliza wouldn't dye her hair blonde for that, she'd look really, hmm...what's the word, Freakish? yeah that works
 
Ok, so it would be a bit like this, I know it's crapy, but I did it in only 5 minutes so I don't want to hear your negative comments on my losy PhotoShop skills. She looks a little bit like a crossbreed of Marilyn Monroe and Julia Roberst to me! In short my art-edit of Eliza.

I don't know...you know. I wouldn't be ashamed to be seen in public with Faith as a blond.
 
lol eliza couple never be a blonde i'm sorry...but that idea is great...being a faith fan myself, i'd love to see her back in the show...
 
Don't base your opinion purely on my crappy impression of a blonce Eliza, I think she's beautiful and I don't think she would be less with blonde hair, I'd like to see her at least try it on for a while!
 
Did you ever stop to think that if UPN or ME were seriously considering a non-Sarah Buffy they wouldn't tell anyone until Sarah wrote it in stone that she wasn't returning.

They wouldn't want to risk damaging the contract-talks with Sarah or the other stars. They would prefer to avoid fan backlash; stuff like that.

They would want to announce it after SMG announced she wasn't returning.

I'd be real surprised if the powers that be behind Buffy weren't giving serious consideration to a non-Sarah Buffy. Even if it were to happen it's unlikely we would hear anything about it until after Sarah left.
 
okay, perhaps we should go back to the main page and actually read the title of the thread you entered....i'll give you some time to do that....lalala.....doopdee doopdee doo....okay, i'm guessing your back now, um...maybe you realized that it says Theory for New Buffy, that's all it is. A fan's theory for what could possibly happen and hey! IT'S EVEN FEASIBLE!!! i never said it was what was going to happen or anything or that UPN or ME had announced it, just that i had a thought that i wanted to share....hmmm, someone here is a real downer, and until the last post...it hadn't been me! lol

but oh well, all who like my theory for a new buffy thank you for your replies and tell others so they can post there thoughts on it as well, i'll admit it could use some room for improvement and the only way to do that is to get new ideas! Thanks Guys!
 
So who's the downer ... in anyway, we know this is not for sure, we know it's all not a certainty, but we can further explore the possibility, can't we?
