There's a Wocket in my Pocket

Well, no. I have Wocket spray, but I would if I didn't use it...😀

But, I bet someone will know what I'm talking about.

WOCKETS! lol that's a great book...and no, I dont' have wockets in my pockets.

I have dust bunnies in my pockets, but no wockets... I think.
It would explain the missing candy on occasion though.

It's from a book called "There's a Wocket in my Pocket!" by Dr. Seuss (How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Cat in the Hat)... it's a small fantasy creatures that lives in pockets... the cover of the book features one:

you've NEVER read dr. seuss? thats crazy

I still can't believe that some people haven't read Dr. Seuss. Alister had no idea what I was talking about and I think I confused him plenty. Poor guy.

But, come on, what would you do if you did have a wocket in your pocket? Wouldn't you be all like "Ahhhh, there's a wocket in my pocket!" And then you would start beating at your pants or your chest, wherever you had a pocket. You might even start to strip, just to get them out and start stomping on your clothes. And God help you if you have pockets in your undies...

You confused Alister? Good onya! You DEFINITELY get karma for that, LOL!
As far as I know where everybody is from in this thread only US people seem to know what Wockets are. So, I guess Dr. Suess is only famous in the US. It's not uncommon for us not to know American celebs or the other way around. I mean, you wouldn't know who Robbie Williams is!

Contrary to popular belief, I do indeed know who Robbie Williams is, and have several friends who've seen him perform...more than once!
Nope, well maybe, I just can't put a picture with a face. But I'm just teasing about people not reading the books. I know plenty of Americans who haven't read them.

Oh! I love that book! 😀

I'm afraid I DO have wockets in my pockets, I actually suspect that the wockets in my pockets may have lockets shaped like rockets :yikes: I put my Woket spray in my pocket and the wockets lost it 🙁

Maybe you need to check the children's section of your local bookstore..
As Dr. Suess books are for little kids.

OOo! I remember my favorite book being Green Eggs and Ham.
Even better was that my teacher made green eggs and ham for us afterwards. 😀

I hope it's not too much to ask that we spell Dr Seuss's name correctly in this thread, given that there is a picture in it which shows how to do it 🙂

Speaking from a Brit POV, I do remember Green Eggs and Ham from when I was a kid but he was not as popular here as in the US...however Theodor Geisel is an educator who will be sadly missed. Here's a link to the Dr Seuss site http://www.seussville.com/

Well Speaking as another Brit, I know who Dr Seuss is and I have a few of his books. My class love them. I have Green Eggs and Ham and The Cat in the Hat. Never read Wockets in my Pockets but I might try to find it. It sounds fun.

You can get them in the UK, Frenchy Faith, just hunt in the kids section in book shops. They are usually there. There are loads of them.

a wocket in my pocket ??? .... yes i love dr. suess but i dont think so i mean the last time i checked i was wocket free... hmmm wockets.... i am going mad...
