OK, so I think there may be a thread about this somewhere but there are so many threads on Social Studies alone I thought i'd be better off starting a new one.

The basic idea is to post and maybe discuss things we've learned over the course of the day or the last week.

So I should start.
Something I learned #1 Sparks - This Town is currently one of my favourite songs. Its just magnificent and has set me on a challenge to find more of their material.

#2 God's Pottery.
I have a friend that does some work every year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival(lucky bar-steward...literally, he works in a Bar). Anyway. he sent me a package with some promo stuff, including a 'tape' of a Comdey Duo named God's Pottery. I listened to them and OH MY Gosh, they are hilarious.
Don't let the name fool you, these are two crazy cats....🙂

#3 The Toilet Snorkel.
OH MY WORD, you're stuck in your hotel bathroom. There is a fire and you are finding it hard to breathe...what do you do, what DO you do?

#4 Gwyneth Paltrow can actually act AND look beautiful.
I know, its almost impossible to believe but last night I watched a movie that I really didn't think I could like, but actually loved.

#4.5 Mark Blucas and Facial Hair don't mix.
Its only a .5 because he was in the above film and it was less than 5 minutes of screen time, but Marc Blucas definitely does not suit facial hair growth.

#5 Mike Myers best movie performance is not in a movie you'd expect.
I know, I know, you could fight for Waynes World or Austin Powers even maybe Shrek but seriously last night(the Gwynnie film above) Mike Myers stole the Movie View From The Top with one of the funnet moments on film.

That toilet snorkel looks awesome.

Today I learnt a new word - predicamentally.

I learnt that my sister has some peculiar ideas about me, but that's none of your business.

I also learned that even when I try to be nice, polite, I still get accused of being an argumentative, antagonizing wanker.

Honestly, I think your snorkel thing tops my new knowledge.

Monday-
1. My mom is never going to let me get a car.
2. My mom is never going to let me drive without her in the passenger seat.
3. My mom is never going to let me drive period.

Tuesday-
1. I'm not pregnant(!)
2. I'm going to hell.
3. Cheese really isn't from the moon.
4. My sister isn't a toddler, she's 11.
5. My mom's never going to let me move out of this house.

Wednesday-
1. I might actually be pregnant.
2. I don't like chili.
3. I blame that pound I gained on McDonalds.

Thursday-
1. Nope, not pregnant.
2. Cruel Intentions is absolutely the best movie ever.
3. Ryan Phillippe is the sexiest male actor ever.

Friday-
1. My boyfriend actually likes me.
2. There is absolutely no way I can watch any Buffy episode without crying.

Today-
1. This forum rocks.
2. I need to start cleaning my birds' cages. P-YEW. -cough-

When your driving, drive not for you but for everyone! *says my mum* but its true.. cos i usually drive like im the only person on the road.. no not really but i like to think so... im on my L's.. hopefully i get my P's like soon!

I just learned something.

The supposed bazooka in 7x06: "Him" is actually a ROCKET LAUNCHER. Thanks White Avenger xD

Oh yeah, and that Photoshop 2.0 is just as good and much simpler than the newer versions.
 
I learned this last night...


I WANT A ROMY AND MICHELLE TV SERIES!!!!!.

I watched the movie last night and I swear, it had me in stitches and the end is perfect for a great spin off series.

I mean lets look at the careers, Kudrow and Sorvino could both be in the series.......gosh i want this so much.

Shame not a single exec/writer/actor is saying it....if only I had the power🙂

prequels generally suck...suck ass....i want a Kudrow/Sorvino TV Spin Off.....and I want it NOW
what did i learn today...hmm...

my boss doesn't like me...
i'm probably gonna fail uni 'cause my family won't give me time to study...
i should probably buy a laptop with a wireless modem so i can study when i'm not at home...
i'm broke and have no money to buy said laptop...
my gran thinks i'm a servent at her beck and call...
i need new glasses...(actually i knew that already, but i'm on a roll)
punching walls results in broken hands...

i'll be back soon...like they say, you learn something new everyday.

Took it twice because you failed the first time? Or do you have a predilection for DP? ... DOUBLE PASSING, YOU DIRTY PEOPLE. Get your minds out the gutter.

Today I learned that if you're an angry little bunny that throws your mouse at the wall because it keeps sticking, IT SMASHES.

I forgot yesterday I also learned a little about Silbo Gomero, a whistled language. A human voice can be understand up to the distance of about 200 metres. The longest Silbo conversation took place over 17 kilometres!

THAT is communication at its greatest.
 
Funny, I learned today that if I throw my phone at things it doesnt break 🙂
 
I learned that looking back at old artwork makes you realise how crap it actually was and also makes you wanna replace it, even though you thought it great at the time! (I just looked at my header banners from ages ago on some of the schemes and nearly died..... )

You are never as good as you think you are.

There's always room for improvement.

Kids are never quiet when you are trying to watch something interesting.

Weekends go far too quickly!
 
1) The best way to draw attention to yourself is to make a sockpuppet in any sort of public place. 🙂

2) Matches actually light sparklers BETTER than mini-torches do!

3) Hamlet really IS crazy! (😉)

4) That a lot of lovely people have recently been promoted to mods 😀 (congrats again guys!)
