I used to live on horse properties and when it came to feeding time I would say, "I gotta go do the ponies" this was lost in translation and gave many chat friends a laugh.

I’m not sure if this counts but here goes::

This guy I work with has a father in the hospital.

Me:: how’s your Dad doing?
Him:: Not great. He’s very confused and thinks it’s the year 2012
Me:: I don’t blame him that was a good Year
Him::....

I have no idea why I said that!!
 
And yes this really happened. Lol thankfully he took it a lot better than I expected

Same.. 4 times. Really took a toll on my self-esteem. I also stopped trying. But people can’t grasp that.

Oh yeah People who don't understand this really sucks. It's hard to have family/friends who push you to try and try again and you failed again and again. It's really disappointing. And I don't count all the money I put into that. I still try, maybe the 6 time will be the good one, I really hope because gain some confidence in me would be great !

My swearing can definitely shock people. I'm usually pretty good at adjusting for the company but sometimes if I'm with mates and others are about they can be a bit shocked.

Some people certainly find it shocking when I don't believe that anyone to the left of our right wing media and government is a terrorist/traitor/spy/communist/marxist etc.

The one that gets me some shocked and irritated responses is when I express my opinion on "equal" pay at Wimbledon when that annual discussion comes up.

my daughter's grandfather's brother was the General of the Australian Transport Department in India in WW2 and he
didn't have a drivers license. But then all the transport 'vehicles' were referred to as donkeys.
