Dude what the hell are you talking about I find you incredibly annoying the fact that a guy with nearly 4,000posts and is a part of a dedicated forum would make a thread like this.

You never thought to the reasons why people might be on a lot.

You cant do stuff all the time most of the board will work or study and want to relax. Its called a hobby dude an escape a way out.

That doesnt mean people dont go out and have fun. Im on the forum a lot at the moment and I have a girlfriend a great group of mates I keep up to date with all my family and go to the pub. Are you accusing me of not having a life?

I find his post soooooooo annoying I also find it ironic who's the saddest the people that stay on the forums talking about Buffy or the member that posts on the saddness of the other members I think its the latter.

Also there is good point to having a group of friends online. I dont know any one who goes to Uni for example so when I talk to Cangel aka Kristine I get to hear funny stories about Uni which I wouldnt normally hear. You can also learn how people from different countrys act with one another if I didnt go on the internet I wouldnt know these things.

Also when you make friends online you can ask them for advice without feeling as embrassed.

Anyway Ive gone on enough I may be missing something and this be just be a joke if not GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE AND SHUT YOUR ARROGANT MOUTH.

What I find funny are the people who so strongly argue they DO have a life. IF you do, then why do you need to explain yourself on a board to a complete stranger?

Is it because somewhere in the deep, dark recesses of your mind you keep hidden a dirty horrible truth - you too have felt that you have no life thus make up for it in this virtual world.

As for posting on a forum being a 'hobby' - riiiight.
You must have a very understanding 'Girlfriend' if this is your hobby - hold onto her, she's a keeper.

The simple fact is again someone has jumped to a conclusion that I have passed judgement on everyone when I had one, and only one(though being the nice soul I am, I didn't want to victmize him so I was purposefully ambigious), person in mind - IF you felt I was commenting on YOU then that is your issue that you need to deal with.
In fact if you read this and thought I must have been on about you, then there is some serious work to do.

I have met some wonderful people online and I do talk to some of them alot - including one person who made me call her at home once, that naughty muffin.

Also, if you find this post SO annoying, why bother reading it? Why bother write on it? Why not do what sane, rational people would do and just ignore it?

Wouldn't the REAL indicator be when and under what circumstances you post...not just how much or how often you post?
I mean, at least for me, I'm stuck in my office all day anyway. I was before the Buffy Boards, and I am now. Paint...put canvas on dryer, post while it's drying. I run errands, do the laundry, do the dishes....but mostly, I'm right here in my office working on something or other. Sketching, scanning, printing postage, stretching canvas....and I would be whether the boards were here or not.
Work pays for my "real life".
Before the boards, I played Solitaire either on the computer or on the cell phone.
I fail to see how THAT could be more stimulating than making friends all over the world. That would NEVER happen in my normal day to day real life. Ever.

I'm certainly not turning down fun activities BECAUSE of here. There are times I am anxious to see what happened while I was gone, but it's not like I'm darting through the store top speed or telling my friends I can't go out because of the boards. Maybe because I don't WANT to go out or because I have to work, but not because of the boards.
On the other hand, for the most part, I'm here ALL the time in one way or another.

But, now I HAVE people to talk to, where before it was just hubby, the kids, the animals and once a week my parents....with the occasional phone calls to my friends and maybe going out once in a blue moon. But, I still had about 8 hours a day with NO ONE to talk to because everyone else was at work...then the next 4 hours when people were coming home and still busy with their families. Now I get to have all that AND more people are interesting and funny.

I think the problem here is that it's impossible to say WHY people are here or what their lives are outside of here.

I know you're just trying to rile people up, but it's even a bit more insulting than you usually are. Even you know it's impossible to gauge what people do in their real lives from posts on a board. And you know better than to believe that one part of someone's life is ALL their life.
In fact, the people on this board have broadened the scope of my life from what it used to be. (Who knew the Scottish invented Neptune?) Not the Buffy talk...the friendly chatting.

You know how to be nice, I've seen you do it. Why must you try so hard to be hated? If you just ask....we'll hate you without you having to try! :lmao:

Semi-long? It takes about two minutes, including spell check, to write that amount of words - well for me anyway.

Also, who said I don't give a crap about Dancing Man - I think I am actually in love with the guy

And yeah, I have seen worse. Maybe it's just the 60 hour weeks in my no life between school and work that are making me a bit cynical :wink:
