Thoughts on Tru Calling?

I really enjoyed it. What really sealed the deal for me was Hudson Leick (Callisto from Xena) in a guest role. Got an early look at the pilot btw, and there were more running sequences in it--too many.

I'll be tuning in next week!
 
I liked it. I thought that it was clever and well thought out, kept me interested and was visually pleasing. I only wonder weather every episode will be as good, or weather the writers put everything into the first episode. I hope that future epidsodes are as good and continue to keep me as interested.

i liked it though i had to watch friends so i couldnt watch the whole thing i just think tru could call a cab

I loved it. I thought it was good to see Eliza on a role other than Faith. Don't get me wrong, I love her character Faith. But it's good to see her be the hero. Besides it was long over due for her to have her own series. I thought the script was very well thought of. I also hope the rest of the season is as good.

BTW - I am a member on TruCalling.net too and I love it there. There is always something to discuss on both BB and TC. Keep up the great work guys!

Hudson was a huge bonus for me too. I've been a big fan of hers since before I had ever heard of Eliza and I actually like her more. The first episode was very cool and for now it's bumped Friends and Scrubs, which I watched in that time slot last year. If they can keep some interesting stories coming it could take permanent control of that slot for me.
 
Hudson was in it?!?!? OMG... *peers at the list of downloads... 3 eps of angel to go... then tru calling... YAY!!! 😀 although quite a few buffy fans are hoping this may not get renewed after the initial onset of episodes has aired...

Everyone wants Faithy Back 😛

I thought it was great. I love Eliza Dusku, she's such a good actress. Can't wait to see what more's to come
 
I think it was a pretty good pilot. Although I don't see the show going very far. It's a pretty cool concept...but just can't imagine it surviving for a whole season. 🙁
 
I think they need to get rid of that flashing thing where they summarize with pictures about what just happened after every commercial. It starts to get annoying after awhile. An otherwise 'okay' premiere. I think the most exciting parts were of Eliza Dushku running down the street.😉
 
I'm going to rebel and not join the masses.I really hope Tru Calling does well, but I don't see a lot of viewers watching the show for an entire season if the season continues the way the pilot had. I'm about to diss the show right now.

The plot sounds like a "what if you could" sort of thing and will get boring after a few more eps (I've heard that for the next ten or so episodes, the show will be like the pilot.). Tru runs everywhere, which is ridiculous (She should at least get a car. How does she expect to help people if she can't usually be there on time?), She was standing at a stance that doesn't look like something that would happen in real life, she was making weird eyes at nothing, and giving a speech to her dead mother which could've been written as less corny.

Tru is not a multi-dimension character. She has no depth. What we see of her now is that she's the unflawed heroine. I watch Buffy and Angel 'cause the writers let them make mistakes. They aren't perfect, but realistic. Tru is supposed to be a good person, never taking advantage of someone when they're vulnerable, and helping everyone... never being bad. She is truly a "flat" character.

I was watching the pilot and that girl she was trying to save looked like she actually killed herself in her apartment at first and I thought that the writers are geniuses to send out a message that you can't save everyone, as Joss and David Greenwalt had in "City Of." The girl is actually alive and I realized that if the show continues the way it had, it will never be as good as Buffy and Angel. This pilot was weak, but as Buffy was once like this, I'll give watching Tru Calling a chance. I do hope it gets better and stronger with its writing and maybe the show will survive.
 
Tru Calling...what does everyone think?

I personally think the show is really good, even though I have only seen two episodes. I like it but I have that sad feeling that it might not last too long on the network. I was just wondering what you guys thought of the show?
