Although the buffy ones were only three of a long list, to be honest i'd be happy with any episode...except the Zeppo..that one really bugs me. All the others i'd be more then content with 😀
 
I watch them from start to finish, but the ones I would go to for a quick-fix would be:
1) The Body/Forever (I count them as a two-parter. Cant watch one without the other.)
2) The Gift
3) Seeing Red/Villains/Two to Go/Grave (four-part arc)
4) Once More, With Feeling

Angel:
1)Hero
2)You're Welcome
3)A Hole In the World/Shells (again, two-parter)

..wow, is it morbid that every one of those I picked, a main character dies (aside from the musical)?

Also, I cheated because I couldn't NOT have the musical up there, but I also thought those first three were better.
 
Hmmm.. I didn't really watch much of Angel, but I loved the episode where Alyson guest starred. So, my favorite.. Orpheus? 😛

Buffy, a different story :

Empty Places - not really an episode I see a lot of people considering their favorite. It's mine because of the packed drama towards the end and the "transition" of power from Buffy, to my favorite character - Faith. It was neat seeing the shift, and seeing Faith finally lead and the potentials and scoobies granting her acceptance.

Grave - Big bad Willow, mmhmm! I loved the magical fighting and Willow's sarcasm and badassness. Hehehe. I took a lot to the ending too, even though Buffy didn't save the day... it was nice to see Xander (which surprised me) as the person who - without any supernatural abilities - was able to save the world.

The Gift - Obvious reasons. I mean, come on! The episode won a friggen Emmy, classic speech and classic unforgettable ending!

1. Dead End (AtS) I call it the "Evil Hand" episode LOL
2. Restless (BtVS)
3. A Hole in the World (Ats)

Those (among several others) are my comfort food.
 
1) Tabula Rasa - I've said it before but I'll say it again - it makes me feel a plethora of emotions all in under an hour. Anything that moving deserves to be on top.
2) The Body - beautifully produced; you can actually feel the emotions that take place when someone has passed as well as sympathizing for the characters.
3) Hush - another one that was beautifully produced. The Gentlemen were in my nightmares for quite a few years and despite the lack of speech in most of the episode, it still managed to exude humour. And it was also the episode where Tara was introduced.
