Come now, don't you know that unless there is !Spoiler! in the thread title that anything in a post other than generic statements like True Blood is cool or True Blood sucks will always be a spoiler?

Just presume that a thread always contains !Spoiler! in the title (advice to thread openers: just put it in automatically as standard CYA [cover your arse] procedure and to avoid spoiler police complaints) or be content with very basic statements.

How oh how will a series [vampire based no less] ever sell without these basic tenets?
Writers should be made aware:
No plots. Plots are bad.
Just film actors comatose or something.

If you start talking about the book, and hinting that Sookie and Bill have some turmoil ahead, yup, thats a spoiler.
I couldnt careless what you consider to be the basic tenets of a plot, keep your comments on the book to yourself or in spoilers, or hey, start a book thread for all I care.
It doesn't take a genius from your comments to deduce that you are telling us Sookie and Bill are going to break up. Why else would it be akward from them on screen? Sorry if you thought your comments are clouded in a vail of mystery. 🙄 So yea, you've spoiled that.... for me.

Yes, we should *assume* that all threads about TV shows contain spoliers YET it is just common courtesy to use spoiler tags if you are talking about something that hasn't aired yet.

I was simply pointing out that anything is a spoiler in a thread without a tag unless it is basic comments.
It's why I used the blatant and over-the-top "Sookie is alive in the pilot" example.
Frankly, for someone who hasn't even watched the pilot the fact that Sookie and Bill are even mentioned is a spoiler. Or that it's about vampires (as you mentioned).

Even simple things can be used however someone wants them to be used. All depends on how tight the blinders are applied.
But since you bring it up, is that your criteria?
When what has aired? What Season/episode or preview?
Aired where? When? How long ago? Yesterday? Last week? Last month? Buffy season forums have spoiler bans on episodes a decade old according to the "rules".

For all anyone could determine it was speculation that the now real-life engaged-to-be-married couple might be asked to show more skin together than would be normally be acceptable on an actor/actress' contract because a book said they do.

Of course those who have read the books know that the series is staying as close to those as Peter Jackson did with Elves at Helm's Deep, Faramir taking Frodo to Minas Tirith and James Bond having a cell phone in Casino Royale.
Funny that I've quoted 2 overt spoilers from those who don't wish to be spoiled that are far more directly spoilery than anything "hinted at".

Actually there's a general etiquette on this board, which btw are clearly indicated in the rules which you clearly havn't read indicating when spoilers are needed.
Anything not yet aired in the US is considered spoilers. The exception being if its currently being aired in the UK where a vast number on this board are from. Since the episode from a couple days ago was...er... a couple days ago; What I stated was NOT a spoiler.
You told me that the major relationship of the show were going to breaking up. However subtle you think you are. If the writers chose not to listen to the novel, great, that still doesn't change your spoiler.

Sorry if I unintentionally spoiled something for someone...I'm only on like, the third disc of S1, so probobly not. I guess most people are watching it on TV as it airs.
