Twilight Sequel "New Moon" script found in Garbage

Yes, I heard that as well. Also, the lady that found it must be a real dingleberry as she had thought about auctioning it off on eBay but decided to return it to the studio. My theory is if you are a dingleberry who is dumpster diving and find a script, get all the scratch out of it you can.

^ Making money of it? Interesting thought...Ebay does have some amazing ability to sell crap...

Honestly, I think I would have return it to. I have what I like to call a nagging bitch of a conscience and I know she would have been all over me if I didn't. Even though I would be tempted to get the money, it is just not worth the guilt that I would feel afterwords.

I'm more interested in who it was who threw out the scripts (and by extension "why") than why the woman didn't sell them. To be honest, if I found the scripts in the trash (which okay, why was she looking around there anyway?) I don't think it would even occur to sell it or make money from it. This is clearly a flaw in my mental design.....

Just where it belongs 😉

I thought about saying this, but thought it would sound to mean. Not that I don't like the books, but Hollywood has a habbit of taking a good book and making a crappy movie out them. Case in point: the Harry Potter movies.

No way! The Harry Potter movies ROCK! Well from 3 onwards!
Re:

I would have sold it. No question. You know what they say...One mans trash is another mans treasure. But IMO the script was right where it needed to be.

How do you know, you haven't read it😛

I read an interesting article this week where Stellan Skarsgard said that 'Angels and Demons' was a terrible book and that Dan Brown couldn't write for Toffee, but he did the film because the script was excellent.

Maybe the film will be good - its unlikely, but this is the week that Dollhouse got a second season, so anything is possible!

Dan Brown is no Cormac McCarthy but I've read the books and they are better than say John Grisham. An entertaining read.

IMO If it's anything like the first one it's doomed. I'm just not feeling the vegetarian, sparkling, fang-less vampires, and some of the acting left alot to be desired. However I did hear that they have a new producer for the second one so maybe....Nah. I'd BET anything...well, maybe not anything.

I think its good it got returned and not just pawned off on eBay for some easy money, I hate it when people try to leak films out in to the world before they've even been finished. It can ruin it for everyone when you start hearing people have read a leaked script or watched a pirated copy of the film online before its released. Well done to the lady who found it and returned it instantly.

Doomed for what? Doomed to be a bad movie or doomed to be a failure? A lot of people don't like Twilight, be it the books or the movie, and of course they got the right to think that. What I find funny is that I know people that thought the books/movie was awful but still went to the cinema and watched it. Some even more than once. And in doing so helping it become a success (if it's regarded as that). Then we got the people that like/love both books and movie and gives them lot of support. So I think no matter what, the movie will at the very least do ok. If 99% or 1% that sees the movie thinks it suck won't change much as long as they actually pay to watch it. The first movie can't have done that bad if they're doing a second one right?

Yeah, I know someone who did that. They said the movie was really crappy but then went to go see it another 2 times I think, just to laugh at it. Makes no sense. :P
To answer the question why go see it if you think it sucks, I'll quote OZ, "I usually enjoy LAME ........" Honestly, I laughed out loud so many times during the first Twilight flick..... I thought it was a parody along the lines of American Pie or Not another Scary Movie.

As to the dilemna of what I would have done if I had found the script? Scan it, publish it all over the internet as often as possible, leak the ending everywhere, absolutely RUIN it for all the Twilighters. These are the same people that brought us Britney, Reality TV, The Jonas Brothers and if they had been of age at the time might well likely have voted for Bush. They desereve to suffer.

Sell it on Ebay? Well, maybe but a late night burning might be more satisfactory than the money.

I love Britney, Reality TV is older than MOST members of the board (and I include the older members) and I do watch and enjoy it and the Jonas Brothers are not to my tastes, but I find nothing wrong with inoffensive young people who promote positive family values to the youngsters of today...also I would have voted Bush had I been American.

Thing is, I hate Twilight!

So that pisses all over your somewhat offensive comment.

Doomed to be a bad movie. I did things a little backwards with Twilight. I watched the movie first, and now the books are lying motionless on my book shelf. I just have no urge to read them.
My previous statements about the movie are my personal opinion. Together with a token will get you on a bus. There are several reasons I do not like the movie, some to do with the way the story itself was written and others because of my personal preferences. But I'm a sex and violence junkie. So this movie was a bit soft for my taste.
I'm sure it'll sell out and be a smashing big hit...

Flannen agrees: No way! The Harry Potter movies ROCK! Well from 3 onwards!

I'll admit that the actors they got to play certain people where good. Alan Rickman(Die Hard) as Snap is amazing. Helena Bonham Carter(Fight Club) as Bellatrix is great! Gary Oldman(The Dark Knight) as Sirius Black is great. David Tennant(Doctor Who) playing the young Barty Crouch was an awesome choice, to bad the screwed that character up. However, the movies have just been bad! They changed things around, and they go way to fast. Mostly action very little story and that is what bugs me.

That doesn't bother me so much because I know the books inside out!

The casting is amazing. I think they've recreated some things really well; the battle in Order of the Phoenix in the Dpt of Mysteries is just awesome. I love them!

They kinda have to move fast, otherwise it would be really boring. At least they're making Book 7 into two films as they don't want to leave anything out.

Out of interest, how faithful is Twilight the movie, to the book?

I know the books pretty well to, but that is the problem. The movies seem to be made for only those who really know the books. Totally leaving out the other audience members. That just bugs me.

Ok, yeah, that battle was pretty cool. Voldermort looks pretty good to. However, I think they could slow it down and still keep it interesting. There was some pretty tense moments in the books between the three friends that they could have captialized on that they didn't. I hope you're right about the 7th movie, but I have my doubts

I haven't actually seen the movie Twilight, but I have heard it isn't really faithful to the book.

Right about what? That they are gonna make two movies? That I'm 99,5% sure of. The last 0,5% is because I don't have a link at this moment. Or that they'll fit everything in? Because of course they won't include everything. Just much more.

I haven't actually seen the movie Twilight, but I have heard it isn't really faithful to the book.
But then again not many movies made from books are. Books are almost much much better than the movies. I'm always disappointed with the Harry Potter movies first time around since I miss a lot and the changes bug me. But by the time I watch them for the third or fourth time I can see them more as a movie and not as the book with moving images and that makes me like them more.
