Rant away, folks!

I think that the episode Conversations with Dead People is overrated.

Agreed. It's tense in places, but it's basically a 45-minute long advert for the new Big Bad, which is built up well then completely goes to hell. First!Joyce's message to Dawn doesn't really go anywhere either. Some of Buffy's scenes are interesting, but to me it feels like quite a lazy way to explore a character - have her sit down with a psychologist, who then outlines her character traits for the audience. Cassie appearing to Willow instead of Tara made her scenes much less poignant than they should've been. And Xander, Anya and Giles weren't even in it!

Any episode sans Giles is a tragedy. Also, yeah, all of the Willow scenes were just odd. Except I did laugh hysterically at the end when Cassie's smiling face dissolved into some evil, smiling face. Like, really? They'd had better effects on the show before that. That was just silly looking!

your sig brings me funny.
I Will Remember You is overrated.

...

dun dun dun!

lol, yeah, it's a nice Bangel-centric episode and I don't hate it. But, it's not even in my Top Ten episodes of Angel. Or the entire Buffyverse. Or even in my Top Ten Bangel episodes, lol.

not even in top 10 Bangel eps...interesting lol

I love this thread. Thanks for continuing it.

Here are my "unpopular opinions":

* I love Season 4 of Angel and think the whole storyline with Jasmine is really interesting.

* Willow is overrated.

* "The Pack" is in my Top Ten favorite episodes.

* Season 6 of BtVS and Season 5 of AtS are among my top favorite seasons in the entire Buffyverse.

* I also think "Beer Bad" is delightfully amusing. Caveman!Buffy is like, the cutest thing ever.

* Also, oh yeah, I hate Bangel. They make me ill.

* Angel was meant to be with Cordelia.

* Fred is completely overrated.

* "Tabula Rasa" is more more genius then any of you realize.

"The Pack" is Joss's second favorite Btvs episode. :)

The Pack is in my top 10, as well :)

Awww, The Pack with HOT Xander. So much love!

Lol, I watched this episode the other day and I so agree. She's adorable as Cave-Buffy. 🙂
I also love the opening Buffy-daydream sequence, it's nice to see her thinking of Slaying as something she's awesome at and can impress Parker with.

Like the headline states, Beer Bad is one of my favourites and i really can't stand the tragedy of Becoming, its too sad.

~ Season 4 is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It's a fun season, and in terms of emotion, the lightest (sans the Willow/Oz break-up).

~ Cangel > Bangel.

~ I can never decide if I like Tara, but I love Amber Benson.

~ I LOVE the 1992 movie.

I like the movie, too.

The movie is awesome! Very different from the show, but excellent just the same. PLUS, it has Luke Perry. ; )
I like S4 too. I hate Riley and the overall arc is dull, but it has some fantastic standalones - Restless, Who Are You, Fear Itself, Something Blue, Hush...

I couldn't stand Riley either!

Yep. Agreed. But Riley bores me indefinitely.
I think Kendra is awesome. People seem to hate her, but I don't get it at all. I'd love for her to have had a larger role on the show.

Also, I really like Jasmine too. It was a clever idea well carried out. I don't like the lead-up to it, but the payoff is the best thing about AtS S4 (excluding Gwen).

Opposite ^ for me. I think the buildup was excellent, save evil!Cordy/Connor and then when Jasmine was born, I sooo didn't want to watch the following episodes. Even before I ever watched Shiny Happy People, I knew I was going to hate it, lol.

Luckily, it didn't last long and we got the ep Home a few episodes later 😀

Yeah :) that's not the 'unpopular opinion' though, round these parts.
Honestly, the biggest problem I had with him was that he was put out there as the comic relief guy. Sure he had lots of funny lines, but the truth is, BTVS had a lot of funny characters, even Buffy herself. I hate it when writers let the supporting characters be the jokesters while the main character is so serious. I loved Buffy and her puns!
