Unpopular Opinons (non-Buffy) deux!

On a similar trend - Madonna is awesome. I can not think of a more influential female artist in the time she has been going. And she is still going. She can be outrageous and hilarious but stands up for what she believes and always has, and be proud to show her beliefs changing over time.

Yes, but the alt rock genre didn't really exist before then anyway.

80s/early 90s Madonna I agree with you on. She was very grounding breaking. But she's been coasting for the best part of twenty years now. Her music nowadays is just too manufactured.
 
Only saw the first season. It was hit and miss. There was enough in it to make me want to see more. But I don't see it sustaining for 7 seven seasons or whatever its been now.
 
I missed S1. Watched 2 & 3 with friends. Gave up early S4.

He maybe a safe of hands and quite witty but I think Stephen Fry has become stale as Baftas host and should be replaced by someone a bit more edgy next year. To add to this I even think that Jonathan Ross did a good job as host.

All these Comic book films have gotten too much! A small amount of them turn out to be good, and characters like Wolverine and Captain American just don't have the depth to justify their own movies.

I don't get the appeal of the Simpsons.

Darla is one of the best Animated shows of all time. Its also one of the mature teen shows ever too.
 
V for Vendetta is a great movie. Some people prefer the comic but I think the movie is great.

Bob's Burgers trumps The Simpsons.

*Shakes head* I was a bit surprised to see The Simpsons getting stick before but it's so much better than the bits of Bob's Burgers I've seen.
 
Think I need to re-watch VFV. There were good things about it first time around, but it did leave me a bit cold at times, and I thought Portman was mis-cast. It may have been her dodgy posh accent I felt distracting😉

Never watched the Simpsons properly to be fair. From the little I have seen I just don't see why people claim its one of the great ever shows.

If you have time then definitely watch the first 3 seasons
those are absolute pure gold.
 
While we're on the topic of animated shows
I should mention that South Park is definitely one of the most over-rated television shows i've ever watched.

I'm terrible with animated shows. Bar the odd episode I've not really watched South Park either😱 Have to say it does look right down my street and I have the first season so will start soon. Like the Simpsons I've heard it slips in later seasons.

South Park is crap. From what little I have seen a long long time ago, there's nothing there that makes you want to watch.

Family Guy is good.
 
Audrey Hepburn, don't understand all the fuss about her...(nothing against her or her acting thought).

Supernatural is meh, gave it a try a few years ago, I don't understand how it's still going...

Smartphones, they are bulky and have short battery life, I only have one because of WhatsApp and texting.
