@GwenRaiden What has Beyonce done? I don't get the hype either but I can't remember hearing anything particularly bad about her before. My celebrity knowledge is kept to minimum though.

Oh, I guess it's a mixture of things. I just can't stand celebrity brands. Her and her awful husband are so utterly materialistic, narcissistic and boring. Yet people aspire to be like them. Terrible songs, full of political agenda, insane religious bullshit and fake feminism. She is inescapable in this modern world, cos people keep buying into it.

Ahh I see. I don't listen to her stuff enough to form an opinion but I do agree about finding celebrity brands irritating. I don't understand the obsession, although at least her and Jay Z actually do have a skill set beyond simply marketing. I can't really complain about songs full of agenda either since loads of the stuff I listen to includes plenty of that lol

I think it's her brand of faux feminism I find most offensive. Feminism is about caring for those oppressed, minorities and the poor, not singing about how hot you are and how much money you have and how diamonds empower you.
@GwenRaiden Exactly! Her lines of clothing are all made cheaply by poor and oppressed women in third world countries, she promotes capitalism which oppresses minorities and women, yet it's part of her feminist/black power agenda, she thinks she's a feminist because she's rich, etc. In pop culture, people have started to associate power and money with feminism. Singers like Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry, etc. are supposed to represent empowerment when in reality rich men make money off of them and then they make money off of women.
 
I like pet shops.

I've attempted adoption recently. I'd not support "rescues" here with what I've found in my experience.

I could buy a bunny from a pet shop and desex it for cheaper than most adoption fees. Knowing that pet shops strictly cannot sell diseased animals, unlike rescues.

The puppy Im sitting has to be the easiest dog in existence. Shipped over as a young baby, sold from a pet shop, straight into his forever family home. 18weeks old and perfectly mannered, no slip ups yet! I'd rather see animals bred like this for people who give them a wonderful life, than returned pound pooches being pushed out for the 4th time to unsuited home.
 
If you want to try again, start with episode 4 (A New Hope) or 5 (The Empire Strikes Back) even.

I tried Episode 4 a year ago. I tried it twice actually. I fell asleep the first time, and then got half an hour in the second time and still wasn't digging it.

The old episodes (4-6) are "ok" if you were a kid while watching them for the first time. In your case I would recommend episode 1-3. 🙂
 
I'm not actually a massive fan of the originals. Think Empire is the best of them. Its between that and the Force Awakens for the best SW film ever I think. Not seen the latest yet.

The originals. Yes, that would be Empire strikes back. I really liked the originals when I was a kid. Nowadays its Revenge of the Sith, because the whole movie is about the clone war and the Sith / Vader / Obi Wan Drama.

Windu vs. Palpatine, most bad ass duel ever. I am also a big Darth Sidious Fanboy😎

I think Empire stands out from the originals because its darker, better directed, and because of that ENDING!😀 The first one was hit and miss, but passible for its entertainment value, but Jedi is the real clunker for me.
