Update (How Do I Deal With This 2)

Hey, this guy sounds like a complete A*shole! Killerdwarf is right though, guys like that don't normally go head to head with someone who could take them. They tend to pick on people who seem vulnerable! I'm glad your half-sister is starting to talk about it though... this is the hardest thing a girl (who's been in this situation) can do. I say you should just carry on being there for her! She needs all the support she can get. Just try to make sure he doesn't get the chance to see her on her own or it could be back to square one! My thoughts are with you.

Take care,
H

Thanks. He's stayed away from her so far today, but there's still 6 more periods. He's in the same class with us period 8, so we'll see how it goes.

Well, my last post was shot in the dust. Ok, well, we were sitting around and he came and started bothering her and he was saying that he refused to live without her. So he went to kiss her and she bitch slapped him so hard! I was like dddaaammmnnn!! and he got angry and grabbed her really roughly and she cracked him across the jaw so hard. it was great. he backed down quickly and she started to cry and Stephanie and I just held her and let her cry it out.

Sometimes (and I do mean only sometimes) a right cross is the best indicator that it is OVER. Maybe now scuzzball will get the picture...but don't hold your breath...

Right cross?

I don't think he got the picture, cuz he came up to us again after she kicked is ass. He was saying all this stuff how she never loved him, but he loves her and he's not letting her leave him and all that stuff. *sigh* loser...

Sorrry, aright cross is a powerful punch that comes directly out from the shoulder, and if performed correctly, the fist ends up in front of the left shoulder at the end of a fully-extended arm! (after impact of course) Like this ***kd punches the air***. Oh yeah, no web cam...sorry 🙂. I'm pretty sure that stalking laws originated in CA. I think, my friend, it is time to get them working for your sis...

LoL. I dunno. I have to wait until she's ready. It's her case, not mine. It's all up to her when it's gunna happen. All I can do now is support her and be there for her.

But she's my sister. There has to be something I can do on my own to help her. Maybe I'm just sticking my nose where it doesn't belong.

Ok, I'm gonna sound like an English teacher here, but...I recommended a book to elmo for recreational reading. The book I'm recommending to you is a book that is a must for ALL girls and women, IMO. It's called "The Gift of Fear" by Gavin De Becker. This guy is a personal security expert, working for stars like Michelle Pfeiffer, Barbra Streisand, Cher, and many others, and he goes very deep into stalker psychology and how to deal effectively and finally with these snakes. It is an entertaining book, but the instruction inside is very relevent to your situation, and if both you and your sis read it, you'll know how to deal...Maybe the best thing you can do is go out to a bookseller and buy/order it asap...this guy knows way more than anyone here about how to handle these situations...he's been there and done that! Short of pounding the snot outta this sicko, which could get you in a load of trouble, this might be your best course of action!

Well, I'd wonder if she'd really think about what the book tells her. She doesn't listen to me or her friends, so the book might not faze her. It's worth a try though. Stephanie and I are going to the mall this weekend, so I'll stop by the book store and see if it's there.

What struck me about the book was the stories he used to illustrate his points...very high profile, well-known people, and all true stories...there WILL be a story she can relate to in this book! And just between you and me and the rest of the board, if she refuses to learn from history, she's doomed to repeat it...and it could kill her...literally.

Hey, let's not think about that. I already know that and that's why I keep trying to help her. If he's unstable enough to cut his wrists all the time, god knows what he'd do to her if he felt the need.

She's not an internet nerd like me, LoL. I dunno if she'd ever be online long enough for me to get her here. I dunno if she'd be to happy with me telling the whole internet her secrets, so lets keep it a secret.

Ok, just you, me and all the BBers that have read the thread... 😉

Seriously, do you think she's got the message that this guy and others like him are poison? Ok, here's another boring old guy story: tell your sis that if she keeps it up, she could be the girl in the story...

A couple of years ago, just before a significant high school reunion, I got an interesting phone call on a Friday night. I answered the phone, and a woman's voice said "I thought that this would be you! It's me, Julie!" She was a girl I had dated for about a year during grades 10 and 11. She was funny, smart and gorgeous, and I was lucky to have her, or so I thought. She abruptly dumped me just before the formal, and started dating the local tough-guy/shady character/drug dealer. I asked her why, and she said that I was "Too predictable...and much to conservative...[she]
want[ed] to live on the edge..." I was busted up for a while, but in my last year I met another girl who LIKED conservative and stable. She was beautiful, funny and smart...the future Mrs. Dwarf! Anyway, Julie and I talked, and Mrs. Dwarf sat and listened. Eventually I asked why she had called. She told me she wanted to see me again, and that she was available tomorrow night. I said that I'd ask Mrs. Dwarf. Her reply was "I was hoping to see just you..." I was stunned. I said, "I think you know what my answer is". She said "Yeah, but I had to ask." I asked what had happened to tough guy, whom I knew she had married. Her answer was, "living on the edge with dangerous guys is fine for a bit, but it gets old when things get rough...and he got rough when things got old...stability looks really good when you don't have any". I pointed out to her that if I had said yes to meeting her without Mrs. D, I wouldn't be as stable as she thought. She said it was better than living with a druggie psycho. I said "Don' t bother to call again" and hung up. If your sis doesn't learn early to identify and avoid psychos, she could end up like my ex-beau, with years of abuse and regret to show for it...or worse! Get her the book, and read it yourself if you get a chance...if she won't read it you could try to teach her what she needs to know!

This is a better way to go than nailing this loser in the head...you can prevent it from happening again, and you won't get in trouble yourself. I hope my story wasn't totally inappropriate and that it fits to show what the future could be if you don't learn quick what is dangerous.

I'm almost ready to sign off for the weekend, but I'll chec in Monday...stay cool, Mike, and take care!

KD

Thanks. I'll try to handle things till you get back, LoL. The story was fine, I'll tell her about it tomorrow.

Yeah, I can handle myself. She can handle herself when she thinks clearly, which she sadly isn't doing to much anymore. Hey, you're the only one who responded to the thread more than once, so you're my advicer now lol.

I'm heading in for the night too. Talk to you monday. Night.
