Uplifting lyrics

ill dive into it

red hot chili peppers-fight like a brave

[Intro]
Rrrah!

[Verse 1]
All you slingers and fiends hide behind your rocks
Oh, put down your guard, I'm not here to box
This is no showdown so throw down your guns
You see it doesn't matter where you come from
You could be from Park Ave or from a park bench
You could be a politician or a freaky princess
If you're lookin' for a fist and you're lookin' to unite
Put your knuckleheads together, make a fist and fight
Not to your death and not to your grave
I'm talkin' 'bout that freedom, fight like a brave

[Chorus]
Fight like a brave
Don't be a slave
No one can tell you
You've got to be afraid

[Verse 2]
If you're sick-a-sick 'n' tired of bein' sick and tired
If you're sick of all the bullshit and you're sick of all the lies
It's better late than never to set, ah, set it straight
You know the lie is dead so give yourself a break
Or get it through your head and get it off your chest
Or get it out your arm because it's time to start fresh
You wanna stop dying, the life you could be livin'
I'm here to tell a story but I'm also here to listen
No, I'm not your preacher and I'm not your physician
I'm just a-tryna reach you, I'm a rebel with a mission

Post 2025 means - after that year 2025.
I am looking for post 2025 songs with uplifting or encouraging lyrics. What have you got?

MARINA - Princess of Power

A tale as old as time
A story just like mine
You've been hurt by those who were supposed to treat you right
But love is our design

I confused love with control
Love with manipulation
My past has taken its toll
This spaceship has left the station

I'm gonna change my whole life
I've had a revelation
Just had to leave you behind
I can't be lost in translation

I lived the sweet and I lived the sour
Been living life locked up in tower
But now I'm blooming like a flower
Welcome to my world! Princess of power
Stuck in a loveless generation
Ready to go through a transformation
I'm gonna glow like a meteor shower
Welcome to my world! Princess of power

I paint my eyes baby blue
Red stars, they shine in my view
Looking like a super heroine
I taught myself how to love again

It's not too late to change the way you love, the way you care
'Cause love is in the giving, not on the receiving end
You see, love don't make you weak
It's a superpower in me
Can't you see?
It set me free

Excellent :) love the tune, added to the playlist!
I saw the title to this, 'Ember, and I was like, "I can grab some uplifting lyrics, no problem." Then I saw your qualifier—post 2025—and I was like, "Ooh. I'm not sure I have the necessary skills for this challenge." 😛

I don't even think I know of a song from post '25. Well, unless you count parody songs. But I suppose those wouldn't fall under "uplifting." I'll tell you what. I'll grab a magnifying glass and hit the streets, looking for clues. I'll be back! 😉

I really like Mod Sun. His songs are generally pretty positive, and he's also a really cool, humble and kind person. He's also a painter and poet. He's inspires me a lot.

Love it! Thanks :)
Post 2025?! My brain mostly goes to 2005 and then music after that rarely exists lol....
Although I am enjoying some newer music like YungBlud but mostly old stuff so can't help you there really ...

Yeah this is why I asked here haha. I am the youngest person that I know right now in real life lol. I was in the car with my neighbour the other day who commented that he didnt like this brand new music, gesturing to my choice. I had to inform him that the song was 47 years old... older than I am.

I had been listening to Jojo Siwa off the back of celebrity big brother, but I dont have a lot of exposure to new music otherwise, and I do not want to lock myself into my teen era music and never seek new creations. It would be such a dull existence to not expand my tastes for the next 45 years. I do need more uplifting happy stuff cos otherwise I curse myself with singing the words.

Thanks for the input so far, keep 'em coming!

What song were you listening to?

That reminds me of something that happened to me years ago, circa 2014 or so (when I was -- never you mind.) I was sharing music back and forth with a new friend (the formerly mentioned, in @machinewolfhear's intro thread, Dutch girl.) I was sharing stuff like Ghost of the Robot, The Wallflowers, The Calling, Three Dog Night (my favorite band.) Then I shared some older Bob Dylan songs with her. She replied, "It's not bad. Maybe I'd like it more if it was of my time." I replied, "It's not of my time. How old do you think I am?" 😛

I've never really listened to Siwa's stuff, though I'm aware of her existence. Maybe I should give it a try sometime.

I do not want to lock myself into my teen era music and never seek new creations. It would be such a dull existence to not expand my tastes for the next 45 years.

A lot of my music is my parents' teen era music. I grew up listening to oldies on the car radio, and I certainly do love 'em.

That said, I have been trying to expand some of my musical exposure of late. I just haven't been focused on newer releases. I've been largely listening to new (to me) classical music and 1980s Japanese city pop (which, even when I don't know what they're saying, I find soothing and fun to listen to—Japanese is such a beautiful language.)

I do need more uplifting happy stuff cos otherwise I curse myself with singing the words.

I'm sure sometimes I annoy people, but most of the time, if I know the lyrics to a song, I feel the need to sing along, oterwise I don't feel like I'm getting the full enjoyment out of it. And yes, this does go for wordless theme songs of television shows. I'm sorry to my friends who have had to suffer through my mouth noise renditions of Angel, The Next Generation, Stargate, and The X-Files. 😛

Thanks for the input so far, keep 'em coming!

If I do come across anything, I'll weigh in with it, 'Ember. If you need some uplifting music, I'm happy to help. I like you, and I don't really feature you being cursed, even if it is only with song lyrics. 🙂
