What's this i hear about a Veronica Mars movie....?

(im not reading spoilers, honestly epo!)
 
Hated the ending. Absolutely hated it. Something big should have happened. I hate the way it just stopped. So disappointing.

Hm, I saw that Rob Thomas was talking about something like that, well I'd be super happy if they would do that, just don't think it's very realistic though, but you never know.

It's a rumor from TV Guide, started after Rob Thomas made an offhand remark.

If there's one thing we can all agree on about last night's Veronica Mars "season" finale, it's this: There's no way in hell that was the end of the story.

So, naturally, the first thing I did this AM was e-mail Mars creator Rob Thomas and ask: "Will will ever find out how you would've ended the show?"

His piddle-worthy response?

"I'm not entirely sure how/when VM would've ended, but I wouldn't discount my taking a stab at a feature script."

Yeah, you read that right. Veronica Mars on the frakkin' big screen!

Rob then added, "But I'm not sure if I could sell a movie based on a little-watched TV series."

Um, I've got one word for you, and it begins with "F" and ends with "Y." I'm talking about Firefly! If a show with barely one season under its belt can get the multiplex treatment — and turn a (small) profit — one can only imagine what VM would be capable of!

Personally I thought the ending was perfectly fitting for the show. I agree some conclusions would have been nice but at least it wasn't left on a huge cliffhanger and never came back.

A movie would be great, or coming back as midseason replacement next year as has been rumoured, but I'm remaining pessimistic. Instead im just trying to get a group of people together to write a fan-made fourth season.

(somewhat related, I think this means I've had my sig for a year...)
 
I naturally wish there'd be more Veronica Mars, but the way it ended won't leave me sleepless, despite the loose ends. I'm not confident that a movie would be made either, but it would still be uber-awesome if it was.
 
Yeh, because it went back to some stuff from past seasons, it kinda felt like an ending. But, I wish I could see more PI Veronica!!

It just pisses me off that they are cancelling it for stupid crap that only mindless people will watch. And that they renewed the Pussycat Dolls instead of Veronica Mars!
 
I watched an episode of that pussycat thing. The girl running it makes it sound like pussycatness is some kind of benchmark of excellence in the human condition females of the species need to strive towards to be considered worthy.

It's freakin bizarre. They're just hot chicks who shake their booties.
 
You know, it's entirely RT's fault that fans are left unhappy. He knew that VM was most likely getting canceled, but he openly said he was going to write a huge cliffhanger, so The CW wouldn't feel like it would be easy to cancel them.

Um, fairly stupid.

The guy was a great writer but made a huge mistake.
 
To be fair he said he felt his chances were 60%/40% (in favour of it being renewed). It was more dumb arrogance really.
 
Yeah but then only two days later it was in trouble again. I think they had time for a rewrite, personally. But oh well.
