Was anyone else expecing more from Buffy and Spike's reunion in S8?

I don't think saying she had no reason at all to be upset at him is fair. Sure, he saved her life, but he also came back to life and neglected to make any effort to contact her. I'm sure that didn't make her feel all that great about their friendship.

Yeah, I think she's hurt and she's just being cold to cover that up. But in general, I don't like what Dark Horse has done with Angel or Spike, in comparison to IDW that is. Their storylines (Spike's even moreso), have revolved all around her. And it makes sense I guess. Buffy is the title. But I really appreciate both of their development on Angel the Series, and in the IDW comics. They relate to other people, and to each other, in ways that has nothing to do with Buffy, although she was the starting point for both of them.
