Was Lilah Supposed to Come Back?

Eve was one of the very few things I didn't like about this season. She was not charismatic or at all intimidating to the characters.

"I'm just the partners voice Angel, I don't know anything; blah blah blah."

where as Lilah would have been

"Tell you what champ; when the big bosses wanna grace me with details on whatever circus act they've got going on down here, you'll be first one to see me not care."


Not to mention the possibilities of seeing Spike and Lilah together. Ooooh, my cup of perpetual torment; it runneth over!

No, her dollar-bill scene with Wesley would've been forever cheapened by her return. And don't forget his trying to destroy her contract. The consequences of our actions are why we should or shouldn't do them. That, if nothing else, was what Whedon tried to say.

Oh, Lilah. What can I say? I would have loved to see her. After watching her death I had to leave the room and have a bit of a breakdown. She was my second favourite character and my top three favourites on Angel all died. It was a little hard.

However, I do see the issues with bringing her back and I think I'm satisfied with at least having her back in 'Home'.

I'm glad to see other people are talking about this! I really wish it was Lilah instead of Eve.

Lilah was definitely better than Eve, but I don't think Lilah would have meshed well in S.5... there was way too much bad blood between her and the fang gang for there to be any realistic attempt at them consistently working together.
