P.S. To be fair, I did watch a few episodes of AHS: Coven a few years ago, which is basically a well done feminist magical organization, and the series was... well received? You can never tell with AHS fans. Some of the worldbuilding was off, but it seemed complex enough to be real but basic enough to avoid the "Revenge against some fictious thing/Time of the Elves is over" syndrome.
I recall a snippet of an interview by Jane where she had a demon encyclopedia on her desk, which Joss laughed at, and claim he just took the vice of the week, and stated it in reverse. SF Debris once articulated a standard where he only holds the creators to this type of stuff when they make it important. Like, it's clear vampires hate sunlight, but it varies how much sunlight a vampire can take, but, if they were to have Angel say, I can endure 30 seconds of sunlight until I burn up, then I would expect them to stick to that.
