Watching Buffy but not watching Angel why ???

Personally I watched when they both aired and could not wait to watch Angel every week as it aired. I could not imagine not watching Angel when being a fan of Buffy!

I watched Angel from the beginning, and absolutely LOVED it. Didn't get into Buffy until October 2015 when I saw Dark Willow for the first time. FX was playing reruns while I recuperated from a car accident. That's when I got hooked on the show. Anya, the loan shark, Drusilla, Sunday, Vamp Willow, Spike (without the chip!), Joyce and Ripper together, Cavewoman Buffy....ah! So enjoyable.

However, Angel is my all-time favourite American TV show and that will never change. The writing of Ben Edlund, David Greenwalt, and Tim Minear was excellent.

Also, the cast made Angel extraordinarily watchable! You could tell they got along in real life, and that was a major plus. The fact that I live in LA made things even better.

All totally valid reasons for not liking the season, and I can definitely understand why some people do not like it. I think because I have less of an issue with these things, I am able to enjoy the season.

I agree about Angelus, but he was hilarious when he was in the cage, and letting him out lead to some great Faith moments.

Im definitely not a fan of the Connor/Cordelia parts either, but I dont think it bothers me as much as it bothers others.

I can't really say I dislike the season so much as I just don't like it. It is very "Meh" for me, and definitely the season I would rank the lowest. It does have some good moments, like Angelus in the cage as you mentioned (but out of it he was an idiot), but in general it just doesn't seem to be a coherent whole.
