Watching for the first time.

Inara is so deeply in love with Mal that it's sad 🙁 I feel bad for her.

Just you wait until Heart of Gold which I'm guessing you'll be watching very soon.

Not much left but the good news is that the show isn't getting worse the second time around. 😉

Have you been spoilered about what happens in Sereniy - the movie?

yes unfortunately which makes me sad

However, I've watched Heart Of Gold and objects in space and haven't had time to review, both great though!

You know, I think I might rewatch Firefly. 🙂

I only watched it once a few months ago for the first time ever, and I absolutely loved it!

I'm only up through "Safe" right now, but I'm liking the series quite a bit. I like Mal's sense of honor when he cares to exhibit it (especially during the duel in "Shindig"), and his straightforward rationale for decision-making (basically, do whatever doesn't get you killed). I'm intrigued by River's "psychic" abilities as exhibited in "Safe" -- we'll see what happens with that. Other fav River moments so far -- dancing in "Safe", talking with Badger in "Shindig" and admiring the stars in "Bushwacked". Fav Kaylee moments -- "ship talk" with ball-goers during "Shindig", telling off Simon in the gift shop in "Safe" and repairing the ship in the Pilot episode. I'm not digging Jayne too much at the moment, and Wash has had his moments, but I've liked some of Inara's story arcs (especially "Shindig"). That's all that really stands out particularly, but I like the overall sci-fi western vibe. It's similar to the feel of some sci-fi western anime, such as "Cowboy Bebop" and "Outlaw Star", but has its own character to it.l I'll post more if I have anything particular to note while I watch future episodes.
