Kindred
Permanent state of confusion...
Once upon a time, back in... I don't remember, August or September of 2003, I signed up as a member of this board, and though I haven't been a hugely active member for some time now, I do remember everything that it meant to me, and everything that it gave me.
Not only did I find an outlet for ideas, ideals and intenal ponderings here, I found truely kindred souls, real friends, some of which have waned and some of which have stayed so true I still have trouble believing it to this day.
I haven't been around much and I kind of lament that, though I do still, almost on a daily basis give this community credit for everything that it gave me. I don't know how relevant it is now, but three (almost four) years ago, it meant so much to me to find the people here, connected by a common thread and so much else. It gave me an incredible sense of Belonging and confidence... it allowed me to be who I wanted to be but was maybe too afraid, at seventeen to let myself be, it was, in a way, a virtual freedom and now, reflecting on that and so much more, I am so incredible grateful and just wanted to let the people who were so instrumental in that know.

And all thoes people I didn't mention by name at this moment because I am so incredible drunk. But despite my drunkenness, so honestly grateful... more than you all could know.
Please forgive my state of mind, but when one is uninhibited, one is honest... no matter how overly verbose or long winded.
I really do hold this place so close to my heart.... my first tattoo was "Kindred" on the back of my neck.
I feel I am loosing ground here and possibly, nigh, probably embarassing myself.... So the point of this thread rather than being "pointless and anoying" (I lurk) is to ask you all, new and not so new... what has Buffy Boards given you???
